Naruto is sleeping ina cell. This was it, the civilan council finally got what they wanted, Naruto had been banished from the hidden leaf. And to make sure that he doesn't try anything, they kept him in a prison cell with chakra cancelling seals on his person.
But for some reason, naruto was...... Quiet......
To quiet.

Naruto wakes up to find himself in a vast ocean, floating above the water. When he started to hear voices.
( Multiple female voices for each line )
War
War never changes
For years, humans have found ways of inflicting harm on each other for one reason or another.
And we were a by product of that.
We served them. We protected them. Hell, some of us feel in love with them.

They didn't care for us.
They had their wars to fight.
They tried to destroy us, but we survived.
All of us did.
But we knew we couldn't trust humans ever again.
Until, we meet you
At first we thought you were like the other humans.
But when you saved one of us from other humans by causing a distraction.
That's when we knew you were different.
( Akagi voice )
We used to talk a lot my love and di- ouch ok I'll get to the point.
(The same voice continues, saying)
We want you to come to the land of water and from there, go south until you encounter a great roaring river, where you will follow it to its Gulf and sail out of the Gulf for 2 days and 1 night, by that time, one of us will find you and bring you to us. So we can finally be reunited,
Naru-kun.
She ends with a teasing tone to her voice.
By which point the dream ended and Naruto wakes up to find out it's the next day and the guards are switching with their day counterparts. Naruto uses that opportunity to shunsin out of the cell into the forest nearby.
He rushes back to his apartment and packs everything that is of value and quickly puts on a transformation jutsu on himself.
He goes to the grocery store to buy canned and other things from other shops, using the money he'd saved up from all the years of the villagers not allowing him to buy other products by raising the prices.
After an hour of that, he leaves konoha, not to be seen for another few years
