Shockers All Around
I had skipped school yesterday with Dannie to hang out with my uncle, so now, I'm back at school. I was dressed in a Motionless in White tee and black and purple checkered skinny jeans. On my feet were my all black, high top Converse, I had on a choker and my music note necklace - which I've added the key to - and my band bracelets. My hair is down and my eyeliner is on point, making my eyes look bigger. I cleaned all my piercings this morning and I have alcohol wipes for throughout the day. I stared at the school building warily.
"Come on, Autumn. Everything is going to be just fine." Dannie assured. I smiled softly at him and nodded. He's right; everything will be fine. I sighed and got out of his car, seeing as he drives me to school most of the time. Together, we walked into the building. The people passing by looked at me curiously or simply stared. I put on my bored, blank mask and strode down the hall with Dannie. When I got to the locker I had rented, Dannie stayed with me; I was glad seeing as I could hear people whispering.
"What did she do?"
"She looks different."
"Do you see those piercings? Gross."
"She's weird."
"What the hell was she thinking?"
"That's so ugly."
"I think they're hot." Dannie rolled his eyes, while I simply grabbed my books and my binder, stuffed them in my backpack, and slammed my locker whilst slinging my bag over my shoulder. The first bell rang and students began to scatter about and scramble to class.
"Let's go, Dannie." I said tiredly. I was already wishing the day was over. I sighed as I took Dannie's wrist and walked to our first class. We didn't even get to see if his cousins were here or not! The second bell rang a few seconds before we entered the classroom, so when we did, all eyes were on us. I continued to wear my blank expression, Dannie on the other hand, glared at everyone. We sat down next to each other in the back and I looked out the window. I want to go home and sit with my dad and uncle. Or maybe, we could go to the park again? The four of us. Yeah, that sounds fun. I felt my eyes tear up, but quickly blinked them away. My mother will never understand the pain she's causing me. Hell, she's causing my dad pain as well, but she's just so selfish and... ugh! I stared at the clouds. They seem to be moving rather quickly. Maybe it'll storm? Hm... does Dannie like to play in the rain? I like to. I love going for walks in the rain, or sitting at the park in the rain. I like the rain a lot. I like Dannie a lot, too.
"Psst." Someone whispered, bringing me out of my thoughts. I looked to my side to see a familiar, and much unwanted, face staring back at me. I glared.
"What, Trey?" I asked, he smiled.
"I like the new look. Are they real?"
"Are what real?"
"The piercings."
"Yes."
"Did they hurt? Didn't peg you for one to be into piercings and such."
"No, they didn't. Look, Trey, I'm not in the mood." I stated monotonously. He looked surprised and held his hands up in surrender.
"Sorry, babe." He said. I glared at him before looking over to Dannie, who was sending Trey murderous stares. The ghost of a smile played at my lips as I turned back to the window. Yes, I definitely like Dannie. Not that I'd ever tell him though. The bell rang and the day dragged on. Lunch was uncomfortable, my classes were uncomfortable, even walking down the hallway! Everyone kept staring! I was getting fed up as I walked to my last class.
