Flowers Are Beautiful

Chapter 1 - Intro

Lily Autumn is your average eighteen year old girl. Except she gets bullied. She gets bullied because of her name, I mean, Lily Autumn is a really normal name right? She also gets bullied because of her height. They call her a midget because she's only 5ft. She's much smaller than even the first year high schoolers. As you can guess, Lily isn't very popular. In fact she doesn't even have one friend. She used to before she met her ex best friend in the first year of high school. Sarah was the ideal friend. They both spent every weekend together; they took it in turns to stay around each other's houses. Both parents loved Sarah, and both of Sarah's parents adored Lily. Then Sarah fell in love with, Lily's brother, Josh. However Josh did not like Sarah because he was a lot older than Sarah, and he saw Sarah as if she were a sister. Sarah was very stubborn so she decided to pretend that she was stuck in the middle of the woods and couldn't find her way back. She phoned Josh begging him for help, so Josh went to her aid because he thought she was in trouble. During the time he spent searching for Sarah, he was shot. The man who owned the land found him on his property, and he shot him. Sarah heard the shot, but she ran the other way. She ran all the way home, then she never told anyone about Josh's death. The family had to find out by a call from the police to identify the body. Lily never spoke to Sarah for a week; Sarah killed herself exactly two weeks after the death of Josh.

Everyone blamed Lily for Sarah's death, even her friends, they say that Lily should have let Sarah and Josh be together. They said that Lily constantly being there when Sarah and Josh socialized made Josh think of Sarah as family. So if she had done that, Sarah and Josh would be a couple and they'd still be alive because Sarah would never have had to go to the extreme she did to get Josh to like her. Confusing and stupid, right? Lily has been the subject of bullying ever since.
