An awkward silence filled the space between Ciel and Sebastian. So stifling in its thickness that Sebastian had to clear his throat from it.

"So..." Ciel said, elongating the vowel, as if that didn't add to the anxiety both of them where feeling. "How... do we do this?"

Ah, there it is. The million-dollar question.

How do we do this? Why are we doing this? When did we agree to do this?

Sebastian didn't have to be there, wasting his time sitting on the wooden floor in my bedroom, when he had much more important things to do back home.

Like playing with his new kitten named button, or doing his homework, or even helping his mother with the household chores.

But no, he was wasting time sitting on his arse across from Ciel in the other teens bedroom. All because of the stupid idiot's request and Sebastian's stupid idiot of a heart jumping at the chance to experience such a thing.

Really, Sebastian blamed it all on Ciel. It was all his fault (though it wasn't really) for being so stupidly handsome and kind, making Sebastian fall in love with him.

So when Ciel came to him during lunch at school asking him a very intimate question, Sebastian didn't really know how to respond.

"Are you really such a virgin that you don't even know how to perform a simple kiss?" Sebastian replied, after a moment of stunned silence, and blessed Ciel with his monotone sexy voice.

Obviously, this had the reaction that Sebastian was looking for. Ciel's face flushed from his neck to the tips of his ears. Though, from embarrassment or anger Sebastian couldn't tell.

"Of course I know! I bet it's you who doesn't know anyway, why else would you be teasing me if you weren't just projecting your own insecurities onto me." Ciel retaliated, crossing his arms over his chest and letting out an indignant huff.

"Just tell me yes or no, otherwise I'll find another person to ask to help me being my date on Saturday."

Sebastian gave nothing away with his facial features to indicate that what Ciel just claimed had any effect on him.

In the end, Sebastian really was a weak teen for his best friend-turned-crush, so of course he gave in.

"Stop delaying the inevitable, you dopey gorilla. Are we doing this or not?"

"Fine, fine! Just... stop pressuring me ok?"

Sebastian rolled his eyes.

With a deep breath in and out, Ciel shuffled forward towards Sebastian causing their knees to press against each other. Sebastian's palms began to dampen with every second that passed, his breath coming in short despite nothing happening yet. It was as though everything hit him all at that moment, the moment their knees touched, that this is very real. Very real indeed.

This was not one of Sebastian's daydreams or fantasies he liked to play through during boring classes in school. This was not the many dreams that woke him up earlier than necessary on a weekday. This was absolutely not one on the many ramblings he wrote in his diary which he hid away under lock and key.

This was no imaginary game, for Sebastian knew exactly where he was, what he was doing and what he was about to do. He could feel Ciel's breath against his chin. He could hear the light exhales of breath, he two of them sharing the same air as they waited impatiently for what was to come, both too nervous to make the first move. When Sebastian shuffled slightly in his place so he could feel the rub of fabric against his knees-the only place the two of them had dared to touch yet.
