"What is [F/N] doing?"

Brad was watching from afar along with Jason as you stood in front of a small crew who had challenged Big Deal.

"Before you can even get to Jake, you have to go through me first!" You pointed at them with confidence and the leader glared at you while making a face he assumed was intimidating.

"What the hell can you do, you bitc-"

You ran towards him as he spoke the insult and couldn't finish it as you jumped up and planted your shoe in his face. An ugly sound left his mouth as he fell back while you landed on the ground with grace, a grin painting your lips.

"I can kick your ass." You gave your answer with your chest puffing out with pride.

Jason shook his head at the sight of you acting as if you could take out the whole crew by yourself. There was probably fifteen boys who all loomed over you.

"We better help her or boss will kill us if he sees a single scratch on her." Brad mentioned and the two took a step forward, only to freeze in place.

"What the hell are you doing to my girlfriend?"

Adjusting the gloves he wore, Jake stared down at the boys who had surrounded you and they all looked back, a sense of fear striking them as they saw the purple gleam that appeared in his eyes.

"Well...they're screwed." Jason commented.

"Jake! I told you I can take them on and-whoa!" You were pulled away from the crew and you looked at Jake as he checked for any injuries on you.

"I don't want you to get hurt."

His sweet words had you almost dying of a heart attack but you held yourself together and cleared your throat, a dark blush evident on your cheeks.

"That's sweet of you to say but I think I can handle it."

You couldn't and the look Jake sent you told you he knew also. You pouted as a sign of defeat and made your way over to Brad and Jason who both gave you a pat on the back as a way of comforting you.

You watched as the crew was taken down in minutes with them now on the floor, groaning in pain but your eyes drifted to Jake as you noticed his muscles which flexed. He had removed his coat, leaving him in his white shirt which had the top two buttons opened, revealing a bit of his toned chest.

"[F/N], your nose is bleeding."

Jake snapped his head in your direction, not knowing the reason behind your nosebleed was because of him and he cracked his knuckles, the atmosphere surrounding him turning dark. The small crew shrieked as they became his target again and quickly got up to get away but they were too slow.

You cursed under your breath and used a tissue to wipe your nose before you looked away, knowing your nosebleed would get worse if you kept ogling your boyfriend.

You decided to return to Sinu's trailer, walking inside to see an image of the older man on the wall and a part of you wondered if you would ever meet him.

Jake had put enough trust in you to tell you the whole story of what Sinu had truly done for Big Deal and you were sobbing by the end of it, wishing you could do something to make things right again.

Jake had a plan at first and that was to take down Workers who apparently kept Sinu captive there but some jerk called Samuel came in the way and now Big Deal had an alliance with them.

You knew this was because of Gun who wanted Workers to be taken down for him and Jake didn't want to satisfy the man who put him in prison but it was also a way of getting to Sinu without causing conflict.

"Where are you going?"

It had been a few nights after Jake made the alliance with Workers and he was currently dressed in casual clothes, ready to go out.

"I need to check out a club. Sinu might be there." You blinked over what he told you, thinking it was random for a club to be a place for Sinu to be and Jake smiled.

"Club Vivi is one of Worker's affiliates."

You made a look of surprise before you stood up and gazed at your boyfriend with a look that told you wanted to join.

"I won't be gone for long." He rejected your idea and you made a face which caused him to chuckle.

You watched as Jake walked out of the trailer and shut the door behind him while you sat on the sofa and sulked over not being able to do anything.

If only you were stronger.

When Jake had returned along with Jerry and Lineman, you were horrified as you saw how injured they had become.

The two boys went to get themselves treated while Jake was forced to follow you back to the trailer, noticing how angry you had become as your grip on his wrist was tight.

"[F/N]-"

"You always worry when I get hurt but what about me?!"

You pulled out the first aid kit and moved over to Jake, roughly setting it down and pulling out the ointment.

"How do you think I'm feeling right now? I don't want to see you like this."

Jake went into a panic as he saw the tears in your eyes but he was rendered speechless as you uttered your next words.

"I want to protect you too."

You were shaking slightly, your trembling hands finding it hard to apply the ointment properly and Jake placed his hands over yours.

You looked up at him as he removed the medicine from your hands before he leaned down and captured your lips with his.

You were surprised by the sudden affection but you didn't deny it, your eyes shutting as you melted into the kiss.

"I love you."

You leaned back as he confessed his love for you and you gazed at him in shock, not expecting that to come out of his mouth.

"I love you too."

You burst into tears but Jake smiled over this and brought you closer to him as he hugged you, ignoring his injuries to savour this moment between you.
