chapter 4 - grandma

flowers.

I love them. especially lilies.

I also love that every flower is different. they are all beautiful in their own way. all have different colours and shapes, height.

every single flower has different characteristics than others.

and that's what's so special about them.

it reminds me of people.

everyone is beautfiful in their own unique way and when you find your person, in a group of people their eyes will only be set on you.

that's why love is so amazing.

it brings out different sides and emotions to people they never knew they had.

bad and good.

some people have the unconditional type of love, like my parents.

but some don't, some people have a toxic kind of love where their personality's clash but they don't let go.

like my grandparents.

there love was never real. never true.

always arguing over the littlest of things. always trying to fight over power in some way or another. always on of off with each other.

and 35 years married, they are still together.

which honestly baffles me.

I always think they're must be a reason why they are still together and I think it's probably because they think it's normal.

normal to argue.

normal to be on and off.

normal to fight like it's a competition all the time.

when I find love, I know what it looks like because of my parents.

but I always think, how did they know what love was?

well my dad especially.

my mums parents are amazing but my dads.. are the not so amazing ones.

especially my grandma.

always putting me down and blaming me for random stuff.

picking on my weight and how I should loose some pounds to be prettier.

how she wishes I was taller and skinnier.

always commenting about different things.

my hair.

my clothes.

the things I like.

the things I do.

she loves dad though. I mean that is her son.
