As a kid I was afraid of the darkness
It scared the living soul in me
To be left in the dark
Imagining the shadows as worst monsters out there to get me
Today, I love the same darkness
The same darkness I once was afraid of
I feel the safest in it
Wanting to melt in it
Loving the darkness around me
Surrendering to the same monsters
Who suddenly feel like are my true friends
Wanting to stay there forever
Play with the shadows in dark
At least they don't cover their face with honey
They show you their real face
And kill you in an instance
Because the real monsters are out in the living world
In the daylight
Smiling, befriending you
Making you to trust them only to hurt you in the back the most, slowly
