you and sunny were working when you overheard a child speaking to sun
"you scare the girls with your dumb face"
they said you looked shocked when did the kids begin to be rude in your opinion suns face was not scary at all you suddenly saw a child sneaking behind sunny
"h..hey now! your being far too rude young man! why dont you behave and join the other kids in arts and.."
sun was cut off as the child behind sunny jumped and grabbed the hook on his back
"AHA GOT IT!"
the child yelled
"yeowch you... rule breaker
sun said as the child was tugging on his hook one of the kids laughing
sunny twisted at the child
"WOAH later CRAP BAG!"
the child said holding a L up to his forehead
"HEY! LANGUAGE come BACK HERE!!"
you couldnt believe how these kids were treating your sun these kids would have to be the rudest kids you've ever met
just then the other kid who was making fun of him jumped up trying to get the hook but he missed smaking sunnys back
"EEP-?!"
sunny yelped startled
"dang missed it"
said the child dissapointed
"YOU!"
said sunny angry as he tried to swipe up the child but missed
"TIME OUT!! IT...IT IS NOT FUNNY!!!"
thats when you decided to jump in
"alright thats enough are we going to have to tell your parents about this?"
you asked dissapointed in these kids
the kid scoffed
"tell my parents they'll only blame it on you"
he was right it was likely that the parents would blame it on you or sunny most likely saying their child was not a troublemaker
"that dosen't stop me from putting you in timeout"
you said as you picked up the child putting them in timeout you looked at the other kid
"you too mister"
you said the child took off running but you were faster you picked up the squirmy child and also put him in timeout
"think about your actions"
you said the child blew a rasberry at you you rolled your eyes
"thanks for that sunshine"
sun said you smiled
"its the least i can do sweety are you going to be okay?"
you asked sun smiled weakly
"yes sunshine ill be ok"
you had taken care of sun after work trying to soothe him as best as you could but even with the soothing and the timeouts the children did not stop tourmenting sun the children had seemingly made a game out of tourmenting him the goal being to reach the hook and see how long they could hold on before sun caught them if the child missed they had to yell "missed" out loud you were putting alot of kids in timeout it got worse because soon after the girls joined in too the original rules didnt seem to apply after a while the children were now trying to get suns hook whenever possible it seemed now the children were grabbing suns hoop just to get a rise out of him now it wasn't you putting boys in timeout anymore it was the girls now too though the children never seemed to try moons hook they were scared of him but moon was takin notice of the dull aching pains left by the constant mishandling which ment no flying much to moons delay and as weeks went on the children were constantly going at suns hook making him more and more sore and you putting more and more kids in timeout you could tell suns patience was wearing thin and many of the troublemakers who came by took quick notice of suns demeanor change you were seeing it too sun was tired but that didnt stop the children from mishandling poor fragile sun but one day a child made a mistake from tugging on suns hook now sun was ANGRY
"YOU!"
sun said in a scary voice as he gripped the childs arm
"ow! h..hey"
said the child in distress
"YOU ARE BANNED!!!"
sun said angrily at the child you could see the absolute anger on suns face
"w..what"
said the child confused
"i am SICK and TIRED of you all HURTING ME!! and i want you OUT! leave the daycare right--"
sun stopped mid sentance and blinked looking at the childs face filled with tears you looked shocked sun had never scolded a child THAT bad
"i..."
sun started the boy rubbed his arm wincing as everyone stared at sun sun twitched
"t..time"
sun started as he figeted with his hands tears now forming in his eyes
"TIME OUT!! IM GOING IN A TIME OUT!!"
sun said squishing his face tears pooling down his cheek he ran
"SUN!"
you shouted you looked angrily at the children
"you should be ashamed of yourselves!"
you yelled at the children before going after sun
the children were shocked they FINALLY began realizing their mistake some were confused...others required sense of justice
"WHY YALL SUCH BUTTHEADS ?! YOUR SO MEAN TO MR. SUN!!!"
said one girl outraged
"dont be dumb tyler just said hes just an overgrown toy"
said a fat boy feeling distressed
"NO!! STUPID!!!"
said the girl outraged the boy had said that about mr. sun
"i didnt know we could make him cry..."
said a shy girl as she rubbed her arms feeling regret
...it took you a while to find him but you found him hiding deep in one of the playplace tunnel links you heard sunny weeping you knew he was sore and felt...guilty you overheard sun talking to himself and sobbing
"why did i yell at them like that? *sob* that child was new they didnt even know *sob*"
you felt so bad for sun you went over to comfort him
"sun..."
you said softly sun was startled he looked at you trying to wipe the tears from his eyes not wanting you to see him like this
"o..oh y..y/n one moment please"
sun said you crawled over and petted suns rays he blinked at you
"im sorry they were hurting you and i wasn't doing enough about it"
sun looked at you
"oh no y/n its not your fault you did what you could"
you looked over at his sore area and saw all the little handprints you tried to comfort him the best you could you felt guilty as well watching him endure what he described as pain for the past few months you felt like you didnt do enough but you rubbing to his more sore areas on his hook calmed him...your compassionate fingers dancing around his hook area felt nice before you came along sun had never been soothed when he cried it helped alot
"thank you starling"
sun said you smiled
"of course sun you know i would do anything for you"
you kissed his tears away making sun giggle you smiled befor you both shared a passionate kiss
