                                            The Last Hope. Not.

As soon as the clock struck five , it did not take me more than a split second to walk out of my cabin.I scurried to the elevator , trying to avoid every possibility of encountering Tania on my way back . I pressed the button for the parking .

I opened the door of my car and settled in the driver's seat . I pressed the accelerator , and within a second or two , the engine roared and I was out of this dull place .

On my way back home , I decided that I was too tired to cook and too hungry to wait to eat , and so I decided to grab a bite at the restaurant on the highway .

I entered the restaurant . I settled at a table close to the huge glass window and ordered the waiter to get me a burger , french fries and some cold drink .

"Baby , how much do you love me ?" The wannabe girl seated at the table next to mine asked her boyfriend .

"More than you can ever imagine ."

"Really?" She smiled , and they began making out .

Eew. Someone get them a room please .

It is indeed interesting how things work out when you're in love . Or maybe how things are made to work out when you're in love .

Look at me and Yukiko . Who could have ever imagined that behind this beautifully innocent face , was a girl who was cheating on me with so many guys ? Was it all my mistake ? Had I not loved her enough ? Who could have ever known how carefully she'd thought of everything , including her fictitious job , to make me believe that she was actually going around on business trips , when in reality , she was in for a tryst with her boyfriends ?

But I still couldn't stop loving her . I would still happily lay down my life for her . Because I loved her . No matter what .

I knew the kind of category most of the other boys fell in . For them , it was just a fling . And the reason they're probably worried is that their male ego cannot allow them to take in the fact that they have been cheated .

"Sir , here's your burger , you french fries , and ........your cold drink ."

The waiter's well-bred voice broke my contemplation .

"Thank you ," I absent-mindedly muttered .

As I was walking back to my car , I got a call from Liam .

"Hi Ian . Okay, look , I am in a hurry right now , so listen to me carefully . I could not manage to get Yukiko's permanent address . The record keeper says he cannot disclose the personal information of the employees . Which is bad , because the address Yukiko would have given for the job could not be fake . She had to submit a residential proof for it .

However , Rheo says he's going to get the address for me somehow . And trust me , he is good at such things . He has your number , and will call you as soon as he gets it . I am texting you his number too , in case you need it . Okay ? Bye ."

It all happened so fast , that it took me a minute to register everything .

Rheo was my last hope . If he did not get Yukiko's address , it would make things really difficult for us .

I pushed my hands in the pocket of my coat and searched for my car keys . That's when I felt a tiny piece of paper in my pocket . I dug it out .

Tatsuto's number . I smiled to myself .

On second thoughts , Rheo wasn't my only hope .
