The kingdom

Chapter one

(Carson's POV)

I hear my alarm, ring through the darkness of my room. I roll over on my bed and slam my hand down on it and turn it off. well I guess it's time to feed the animals.

I get up and go to the shower and wash off all the dirt from the night before, after I shower I put on my house dress, I personally love it, its long and has little flowers on it.

I slip it on and pull up my long brown hair in to a pony tail. I walk down in the kitchen and I hear my mother yell down "CARSON JAMES!!,MAKE ME BREAKFAST!" ehhhh,I hate her so much.

I head to the kitchen and pull the eggs out of the fridge and heat up the pan, then make the eggs. I hear hard footsteps down the stairs as I plate the food. "Carson!,is my breakfast ready?"

I nod "yes mother, would you like some tea as well?" she nods and sits down. honestly my mother scares me she beats me if I do something wrong but it's usually she beats me just because she feels like it.

"Carson,after I eat my food I going down to the market place to sell some cheese, I expect when I come home that this house is clean." I nod and exit the kitchen.

Before I go to feed the animals I feel a hand on my shoulder. I spin around in fear and I find my friend Niall, I let out a breath and smile " Niall,you scared me." he pulls me into a hug and I smile "I'm sorry, did she touch you this morning?"

I shake my head 'no' and he smiles and kisses my cheek,I blush I've always kind of liked Niall.He is sweet nice and he is so cute like a little teddy bear. I ask Niall if he wants to go with me to feed the animals and he says" yes I would love to."

Niall and I walk over the field and under the gateway and we arrive at a little barn that we have for the goats and chickens. I open the chicken coup an sprinkle their food for the day.

I then go over to the goats an I have to milk them other wise I will get beat. I put the pale down and milk the goats, Niall stands by the door watching me and he says "your bruises are going away."

I nod "yes, they have been....I'm very grateful." Niall smiles and comes over to me " Carson, are you hungry?" I shake my head I'm not aloud to eat unless I ask, even then I most likely don't get food. " car, come on you need food your practically withering away"

I shake my head no and he pulls out a little piece of bread. " just at least eat this little piece?" I shake my head no " Niall, I'm really not hungry"lies I'm starving! Niall shakes his head.

"Carson, please I'm so worried about you!" I sigh and give in taking the bread and Niall smiles so bright and it makes me happy to know that it was me who did that to him.

"There horan, are you happy?" He nods smiling "I am very happy!" I laugh at his face because he stuck his tongue out but he had a double chin.

"N-Niall,ah ha, oh gosh your face is priceless!" He laughs at me when I mimic it and we both end up laughing on the floor. after I milked the goats and fed the chickens I realized I had to go home and clean before mother comes home.

I stand up and offer a hand to Niall and he stands up with my help, and he walks me home carrying one of the pales of milk while I carry one as well. we arrive at my house and I take the bucket of milk from him.

"Thank you for going with me today Niall." he nods and smiles then gives me a brief hug then walks away and I walk in the house to clean.
