Chapter 24- The Mall Pt 2

(Sorry I've been gone so long, school is such a pain in the ass. I also had a lot of stuff happening.)

KAI'S POV

Katniss was dragging me to another store. She's spending all the money I have on my credit card as if it doesn't mean anything. I was really planning on using this money to take Janely out on expensive dates...I really wish I was here with her instead of Katniss.

Katniss looked at me and pointed to another store, "We should go there!". I looked at the store to see that she was pointing to the Disney Store. I shook my head no "I don't have much money left on my card. Katniss looked at me with an annoyed face and said "So? I'll control my spending. However much money you have left, I'll calculate what I can buy and what I can't. Then, you just let me know when you receive your next allowance and we can come back here and buy some more stuff." "You mean...you...buy some more stuff...?" She scoffed and smiled "Same thing, silly!" I still told her no. The real reason is because I want to take Janely in this store and buy HER anything she wants. I've been talking to Hiro a lot to find more information about her and he mentioned that she likes Disney.

Katniss held my hand and began to pull me towards the store. I tried to pull my hand away but she had a really firm grip on me. As we entered the store, Katniss started to run around touching every stuffed animal and action figure and collectible in sight with the biggest smile on her face. She doesn't care because it's not HER money that she's spending, she's not the one that's on the verge of debt right now and a serious lecture when returning home. She's so spoiled...

JANELY'S POV

I dragged Seojun towards the Disney Store. Seojun looked at me, "You're so invested into this couple because it's the guy you like on a date with another girl?" I nodded my head. Seojun sighed and said "Are you sure he's just...like interested in her?" I glared at him and he shut his mouth really quick. "He's not into her, Jun. I've seen the signs." Seojun nodded his head and answered "Yes, maam. I believe you."

We walked into the Disney Store and looked around. Seojun dragged me towards the princess aisle and started looking at the dolls. I whispered "Why are you so interested in the princess dolls all of a sudden?" He whispered back "Because the couple is right behind us. I had to pretend like we are interested in purchasing something today and hope that she doesn't recognize you." I nodded my head and thought to myself. Seojun's pretty smart. It seems like we're on a mission that our parents assigned to us.

I can hear Kai mumbling under his breath and complaining about carrying every single bag from every store. She really just uses him as an ATM and a carrier. Does she even have a crush on him?

I turn around to watch what they're doing, not giving a single fuck in the world. I see Katniss looking at some stuffed animals that she desperately wants. Kai on the other hand refusing to buy it for her because he wants to save up his money and NOT get in trouble when he goes home. I sigh as I walk up to them. Seojun pulls me by my arm right back to him and whispers "Don't." Katniss gets close to Kai and kisses his cheek.

KAI'S POV

I immediately push Katniss away before she can do anything else. Katniss stumbles back as she pushes me as well. "Why would you push me?! "Why would you kiss me?!" I drop all her bags and walk out of the store, leaving her to carry them on her own, if she wants them so badly, she can have them and carry them herself. I rub my cheek profusely and even take out a baby wipe and continue wiping it. Why would she kiss me?! I've stated on several occasions that I am not interested in her.

I sit down on a bench in the middle of the mall checking my phone to see my credit card balance and also a few text messages...

Credit card balance: $56.72

I sigh rubbing my face. Just great. She spent hundreds of dollars on clothes, hundreds of dollars I was saving up...Now to open the text messages.

???: Why are you spending so much money on your account?
???: Kai, I'm talking to you, answer me!
???: 287 dollars spent at the Gap store?! And another 300 dollars spent at Claire's?! And 165 spent at hot topic?!
???: You're in big trouble when you get home.

Tears form in my eyes just wondering about what's going to happen when I get home.

JANELY'S POV

I pushed Katniss into the wall cursing her out. (Outside of the Disney store obviously). "I've been following you around! Why are you using Kai as if he's not some human being?! He has feelings! He's not a toy for your entertainment!" Katniss pushed me off of her, yelling at me back. "I can do what I want! He has money! I need a person that can keep up with my lifestyle and Kai's pockets sure can!" "You practically assaulted him!" Katniss slapped me and said "He likes me! I was shooting my shot!" I ran towards Katniss before being pulled back by Seojun. "Janely! She's not worth it!" I scrambled in his arms trying to set myself free and pounce on her.

Katniss stuck her tongue out at me as she picked up her bags. "Control your bitch." Seojun looked at Katniss with a surprised look and put me down on the floor and walked towards her. "I believe the only bitch here is you judging by your scent. You smell like a dog after going outside." She gasped about to slap Seojun. I grabbed her hand and twisted it "Don't you dare try to touch my brother." Katniss screamed in pain and I let her go. She ran away leaving her bags behind. I picked them up and went ahead looking for Kai.

I soon found him with his face buried in his hands. I sat next to him and rubbed his back. He perked his head up to look at me. His puffy eyes looking at mine. I pulled him in for a hug and rubbed his head. "It's okay, I saw everything, I handled her for you..." Kai sniffled and pulled away from the hug to look at me. He rubbed his nose with his sleeve. "Y-you what...?" "I saw everything and I handled her for you. Gimme your card. I won't spend anything, I promise." Kai nodded his head and gave me his card and I got up walking away.

KAI'S POV

I appreciated the hug and affection from Janely. Though, I didn't know she was there the entire time. I would've went with her instead of staying with Katniss. I wonder what she's going to do with my card now...she can't do much, I'm practically broke at the moment. I should've walked away from Katniss when I got the chance. I sighed burying my face in my hands again. I'm going to get the worst lecture and butt whooping of my life. My dad's gonna kill me, literally. I'm supposed to be perfect for him. I'm his only boy, I need to be his golden child.

JANELY'S POV

I walked back to Kai and gave him his card. I nudged him. "Check your card balance" Kai looked at me puzzled but proceeded to check his card balance. I smiled at Seojun as he smiled back. Kai's jaw dropped and he looked at me and then back at his phone and back at me and back at his phone and back at me. Kai smiled wide and hugged me tighter than ever. I laughed and hugged him back. Kai then started to speak "How?! How did this happen?!" I pulled away from the hug as I said "Well...I scared Katniss off and she left all her bags behind so...I returned all the items and you got the money back." Kai squealed balling his hands into fists and shaking them excitedly.

Kai got close to my face and kissed me. Seojun covered his eyes and turned around. I kissed him back cupping his face. Kai put his hands on my waist and pulled away and laid his head on my shoulder. "Thank you, Janely..." I smiled and kissed his head. "No problem, Hyuka..." Kai smiled at the nickname and Seojun gagged. "Please tell me you two are done." I laughed and me and Kai both said yes.

(Sorry this was like so bad, I had no ideas today but I really wanted to finish their little mall story.)
