Summer's Beginning

Your persona's name is Zariah. You and your friends just recently graduated from your classes, finally having some relief and freedom. Though, you want to spend time having fun before going to college in the fall. It was currently a few days into June and you already had plans in mind.

Zariah's POV

After graduation I was so happy, I didn't want to spend to much time there any longer, I needed a break. I moved away and now here I am with my boyfriend and friend in their apartment while we wait for the next move.

We just got back to the apartment after our trip to visit some close friends of ours that were doing well. Now it was summer again but everyone else was getting ready for college soon once the near end of August comes around, I was to but I had help getting prepared beforehand. So for me this meant more free time to hang out and enjoy each other's company instead of being cooped up inside studying.

Today's Saturday, one of the hottest ones we have been experiencing since last year, basically it was hotter then the previous 4 years. It was fine we had good enough air to keep us cool. Yami was still asleep but Yugi was almost finished in the shower at the moment, me on the other hand I was coming up something we could possibly do today.

After Yugi was finished with his shower he walked back into the bedroom wearing nothing except a towel wrapped around his waist and a small smile on his face. He looked really cute. He sat down on the edge of the bed watching me put the finishing touches on my hair. I finished up and turned to him and gave him a sweet kiss he gladly returned. "Morning sunshine" I told him when we pulled apart. He smiled and pecked my cheek. "You're beautiful, just like always."

Yugi blushed lightly looking away bashfully. I grabbed one of his hands in mine kissing his knuckles softly. He looked up and smiled at me. "I should be saying that to you" he mentioned as he chuckled softly towards me and I laughed quietly. "I know. But I can give a little flattery every once in awhile." I joked as I leaned forward pressing another chaste kiss to his lips. Then he went to grab me up in a hug, kissing me deeply.

When we broke apart it felt like my insides were filled with butterflies. He and Yami were my favorite people and no matter what happened between us things would always end up back to normal. Nothing separated us.

"So! What did you have planned today?" asked Yugi as he got off the bed and went into the closet to get some clothes on. "I don't know, maybe just chilling out somewhere for a while, how about you? Do you have any ideas?" I asked. He turned to look at me and smiled. "Well, I was thinking we could go to the beach? There's this new barbeque place that opened and everyone's talking about it so I thought we could check it out." he replied excitedly.

"Sounds good, hopefully Yami wakes up soon so we can let him know" I said smiling.

We both giggled and then started to make breakfast together. When everything was cooking Yami came padding into the kitchen rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, looking pretty grumpy and annoyed. After greeting him we ate breakfast together in comfortable silence for a while. It was so peaceful and enjoyable. Yami eventually started to wake up more by the second until finally he decided to join us at the table eating his food. Once we finished eating I took the dishes and washed them while Yami made his way to sit next to Yugi. They both started bickering about something on a game that they played until I stepped in and told them it was their turn to wash the dishes and to come help.

After doing this the three of us ended up relaxing on the couch watching TV till it was time to go to the beach.

"Sheesh why is it so hot today?" Yami groaned as he stared towards the ceiling, "Yami, you didn't hear about the heatwave that was going to happen today?" Yugi assured Yami who groaned again, "Didn't know it would feel the deserts of Egypt though" he replied while he put his hands behind the back of his head and sighed a little.
