Chapter 2: A Sad Day

I fell alseep on my bed with tissues on the desk that I do my homework from school on. I woke up and walked out into the living room where Shadow was at. "Rosey is awake I see?" I looked at him as if I was saying, "Oh shut up." He then smirked and threw a pillow at me. I caught the pillow and threw it back at him. "HA! TAKE THAT!" I billowed. Thats when we heard the phone ring. We both looked at eachother thinking the same thing. Then we started toward the phone. Shadow had gotten there first. But when he picked up the phone, he frowned. Then he said, "No just no...Do you really think thats...WHAT!? NUH UH THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING." I looked at him in confusion and tilted my head. Thats when I saw tears. Yes REAL tears. I gestured Shadow to hand me the phone. He gave me the phone and looked at me in the eyes. I knew something was wrong. He looked away and ran upstairs. "Hello?" I said softly. "Erm...Hello is this Ms. Amy Rose?" "Yes." Well duh of course its me. "Well...I have some bad news...are you wanting to hear?" This guy who called was working in the hospital. I remember Mom went because she was sick. Very sick..."G-go ahead" I shuddered. "Well your mother...couldnt overcome this sickness...Im truely sorry for your loss...you and your brother have our sympathy..." I didnt believe that. Not one bit. "WHAT NO!" Then I hung up and ran to Shadow. "Rose..." he said. I ran to him and hugged him. I was crying my eyes out. Later on I fell asleep...
