I felt relief when he called me but I could not answer the phone. I was frozen in fear of what piper had told me. Leon walked up to me. He did not do anything but stand there.
"Layla are you gonna answer that?" I looked down at my phone. It was still ringing. I finally answered the phone.
"Chris are you ok?" He did not answer for a minute.
"No nothings wrong. Are you ok? Is something wrong?" I did not know what he meant.
"What are you talking about?"
"You called me twice. Did something happen?" I felt my face relax a little bit.
"No nothings wrong. Piper told me you weren't yourself. You haven't been at school for the past 2 weeks." He did not say anything.
"Is something wrong Chris?"
"No... Yes. I need to tell you something. Meet me at school tomorrow." I did not know what he was planning.
"Ok. What for?" I heard him chuckle.
"I can't tell you that, its a surprise. Bye Layla. I heard him hang up the phone.
"Layla what's wrong? What did he say?"
"He told me to meet him at the school tomorrow." Leon groaned and walked away.
"Leon. What is your problem?" He turned around but said nothing.
"Why are you still friends with him. He hurt you too many times. I don't understand."
"He's my friend. I can speak to who I want to ok. I understand you're trying to protect me but I'll be ok." I walked over to the couch and sat down. I need to relax for a little bit.
