Pain. All I feel is pain. Everything is blurry and I can't think. I feel needles breaking my skin. The constant beeping driving me closer to insanity. I feel myself drifting in and out of consciousness.
My vision clears and I see it. I'm in the lab. It's so cold. Everything is so white it's burning my eyes. The constant beeping from machines are annoying to say the least. They are driving me insane.
Not long after I wake up a figure, with a blurred face, came in. "Where is he?" I yell. They ignore me. After checking the machines and writing some notes. They pick up something off the counter. It's a syringe. I start struggling but the restraints holding me down prevent to much movement. I'm screaming hoping someone will come save me. They inject me with something. It's beyond painful. I pass out from pain.
I awaken with a start. I feel like I can't breathe. I wish I could say it was just a nightmare but, I can't. It actually happened. Once I left that place I promised myself I would never go back. Never feel that fear again.
Life moves on I suppose. The apocalypse waits for no woman and there are always things to do.I get up and get dressed for the day. I need to find a store and get some new clothes soon. Right now my focus is checking what supplies are left here in the armory and kitchen area. I head to the kitchen first. I'm hungry but, I need to ration what I have and what's here until my next supply run.
I empty out all the cabinets and drawers searching for anything remotely useful. I found at least a half a weeks worth of food. Combined with what I already have I can ration two meals a day for about a week and a half. Maybe less depending on what I can actually cook and what won't poison me. I also managed to find a newer pocket knife and some packs of batteries.
Well, the kitchen has proved useful. I suppose the armory is next on my list. I make my way down the hall and open the door. I didn't really inspect everything in here when I was searching for zombies. It's a fairly large room filled with many weapon types. Obviously there are a lot of guns and plenty of ammunition but for some reason there are also assortments of knives, swords, hatchets, and explosives. Everything is padlocked though.
I head back up front to search through the desks. I find it in the farthest from the front. Always the last place you look I suppose.
I return to the armory grabbing some of my heavier weapons along the way. I unlock everything doing a ment inventory as I go. There is enough here for a nice size group to last a while. I hang up some of my weapons, mostly the noisy ones.
After I finish with that I grab a couple power bars for lunch then prepare to set up defenses for my new temporary home. I may not have a group but, I'm armed to the teeth.
