Sounds of laughter were heard outside of Sheriff Forbes' hospital room as people walked by. Inside sat the Valencia twins on one side of Liz bed while Caroline sat on the other holding onto her mothers hand. "I like you. You're smart, beautiful and funny," Sheriff Forbes said softly.
A hint of blush appeared on Rosa's cheeks. She placed her hand on her twins shoulder and gripped it lightly laughing. "Well then Sheriff, I think your daughter is dating the wrong twin," Rosa said and turned to look up at her brother. "Seems like I have the mothers approval, Alé. Looks like I win, again."
"Agree to disagree," Alejandro said, rolling his eyes at his twin.
"Don't quote me to me," Rosa huffed. Recently, Alejandro had been poking fun at all the verbiage she had been using. Rosa is trying to get more familiar with the terms used in court and has been using them against her twin.
Caroline's wide grin appeared on her face. She hasn't had one the last couple days thinking she sped the process in her mothers death. But these two angels sitting across from her laughing and bickering, caused the grin she now had. Caroline never thought going into college she would become this close with people she didn't grow up with. Elena never has time for her and Bonnie is always following Elena, both of them not really wanting to experience the college life. Caroline looked down at her mom and gave her a warm smile. Sheriff Forbes squeezed Caroline's hand knowing she was going to be in good hands whenever the worse was to come.
A loud buzzing noise caused everyone to look at Caroline. Caroline answered her phone and grew a wary look. Rosa raised an eyebrow only catching the end of the call where a male voice sounded distraught. Caroline looked right at Rosa, "Rosa.. that was Tyler." She paused for a second, "Kai won the merge. Jo is still alive, he merged with his younger brother Luke."
Rosa turned to look at her twin surprised. The Valencia twins were both confused on how that happened. All they knew about the merge was that it had to be a set of twins to merge. There's always loopholes in the supernatural, it shouldn't surprise them anymore.
"There's more," Caroline spoke up again. Both the twins turned back to face her, "Tyler said Kai's dad is furious and going to kill him. He's not in his right mind. He doesn't care if they all die, he doesn't want Kai to live as the coven leader."
Rosa scuffed running her hand through her curls. "So he rather there be no coven at all?!" She exclaimed standing up. "There are hundreds of people in that coven that do not deserve to lose their lives over a family issue."
Alejandro stood up alongside his twin, "Rosa Alicia, you have your arrows? Our crossbows are in my car." Rosa nodded as the twins walked around Sheriff Forbes' bed. The female Valencia twin bent down to grab her backpack filled with arrows. Alé walked over towards Caroline and leaned down giving her a quick kiss, he rubbed her cheek softly holding his hand in place as Caroline leaned into his touch.
