[Attilan, February 28, 1990]
Love began with a smile and a touch, then ended with tears and cries.
In that early morning, Pietro was still drowning in his anger, in their giant room, in the palace, Pietro started to pack his stuff, tore clothes from their hangers, and took things out of his drawers, put them all in a brown bag.
He did it all at super speed, making his movements only blurry in Crystal's eyes, she was begging him to stay.
"Pietro please stop... We can talk about this!" Crystal grabbed the brown bag, stopping Pietro who was running around the room.
"Talk about what? What would you say as an excuse?! I saw you with that man! you cheated on me! You don't know how much it hurt seeing you with someone else!" Pietro said in a raised voice.
Pietro found it hard to believe that a person as fast as him could be so blind, he needed to pay more attention to what was in front of his face.
"Then do you think that by running away, all this will get better?" Crystal replied, frowning.
"Get better? None of these will get better, Crystal," Pietro snatched his brown bag from Crystal's hand.
"Why are you making this worse--"
"I'm not the one who cheated, Crystal! I'm not the one who slept with another man! and threw out all our sacred vows!" Pietro yelled, his usually pale face was screwed up in anger, one mistake from Crystal ruined a thousand truths and one lie ripped up millions of truths.
"You never give me your time Pietro! You abandoned me for the X-Men! You care so much about those children at the institute that you forget about your own daughter! You were almost never here for me and Luna! And when you came back, you were always busy with the militia!" Crystal yelled, clenching her fist.
"But that didn't give you free reign to do whatever you wanted behind my back!" Pietro yelled back, cutting Crystal's words so theirs collided.
"I don't know what you want Pietro, but ever since Luna was born, you tried so hard to prove yourself worthy in here!" Crystal continued, glaring and pointing a deadly finger at him, a thing more pathetic than being hated was being ignored.
"That's because they never fully accept me! I'm not a true Inhuman-- I'm a mutant--different, Your people always make me feel like an outsider," Pietro stated.
Crystal's family seemed less concerned about where he come from than anyone else, but Pietro was not stupid. He knew that the other Inhumans didn't like him, and wouldn't act too friendly to the remainder of the world he came from.
"Pietro... I'm not married to you to watch you impress my family," Crystal responded.
She fell in love with him for who he was, and if he changed enough to fit in in Attilan society, he would no longer be the same man.
