"That was the last box." My mom said.
"Great, I have to unpack." I sighed.
"I can help-"
"No mom, go rest." I smiled.
My mom helped me move everything to my new house. While Gabe was looking for a new girlfriend. Hopefully a better one...
"Okay honey." My mom sighed and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "I'll see you soon."
I watched as she drove away.
I put my hands on my hips. "What now?"
***
"Finally." I breathed. I had just finished unpacking everything.
My room was awesome though. The walls were light pink, and... Well it was incredible!

I texted my mom letting her know I was finished.
I sat on my bed and stared at the wall. Just one more year... But what if he doesn't want to see me? What if I'll never see him? What if he hates me?
So much what ifs... so little time... One year...
I just want him to be with me. That's all.
I lied down. I'll never see him.
***
Ding dong!
I groaned.
Ding dong!
Who the hell destroyed my beauty sleep?
I stood up and slowly made my way to the door.
Ding dong!
"I'm coming! Goddammit."
I opened the door to find a girl, maybe my age standing there with a guy, that looked almost like her. So you could say they're twins.
"I'm Samantha Woodgrew, and this is my third cousin, Sam Woodgrew." We shaked hands.
"We heard about a new neighbor, so we wanted to meet you."
I smiled. Well it was kinda worth it to waking me up...
"How old are you?" Sam asked.
Samantha nudged him. "That's not nice." She whispered.
"It's okay, I'm 21." I said.
"I'm 22 and he's also 22." She said. "So, do you want to hang out sometime?"
This is like high school all over again. Friends? Fake friend? Trust? Okay, we're adults, I'm sure we aren't stupid.
"Sure." I said.
"Okay-"
"Samantha! Sam!" I saw some little girl yell.
"Oh sorry, that's our little cousin. I guess I'll see you around." She grinned and left.
I closed the door. Wow. Already a new friend.
I heard my phone ring. I picked up my phone and it was an unknown number. Of course, me, being curious and all, I answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hi...is this Diana?" A guy answered.
"Ummm...yes...who are you?"
"I'm sure you can remeber me." He said.
"Look, whoever you are, this isn't funny."
"Am I laughing? No. This isn't a joke. It's me, Austin."
I froze. Austin?
"Hello? Is anyone there?"
Austin. Austin's on the phone. I Finally snapped out of my daze or whatever it was.
"Austin?" I whispered.
"Yeah. Diana, How are you?"
"How are you?"
"I'm fine."
I felt like I was gonna cry. Austin was still there for me.
"So...I guess happy late birthday. Sorry I wasn't there..."
"It's-it's fine."
"Diana, I miss you..."
"Austin-"
"Diana, I really want to talk to you right now, but my time is up."
"But-"
"I'll talk to you later Diana."
He hung up.
I stared at the wall. He called. So he cares? My life is filled with so much question marks...and yet I don't know the answer.
I sighed. Am I ever gonna see him again?
My phone rang again and this time, it was my friend, Carolina.
After I came back home from the whole kidnapped thing, she cried, and cried, and apologized, and continued crying. She blamed herself, saying that it should've been her.
Even though I should regret saying this, I'm actually kinda happy that I was kidnapped, minus all the beatings and all that shit.
"Hello?"
"Diana?" She was sobbing.
"What's wrong?" I asked, suddenly alert.
"I don't know what's happening to me." She said. "I keep throwing up, and I just feel so weird-"
"Carolina, you have the stomach flu."
"No Diana. I know what that feels like. But this feels different. Diana, I'm getting fat, and I keep throwing up."
"You're getting fat?"
"Yes, my stomach just freaking grew like 3 inches!"
"Maybe you should stop eating Twinkies." I stated.
"This is serious!"
"Where are you?"
"At the gas station."
"Where?"
"The one next to the thrift shop!" She yelled.
"Okay calm down. I'll be there."
I hung up and ran into my car. I drove out of my driveway and drove to where she was.
I wasn't exactly believing that it wasn't the stomach flu. But then again, the stomach flu was last season...
I saw her car parked and her leaning and hopefully I'm wrong, vomiting.
I parked my car and made my way towards her.
"Carolina, are you okay?"
"Does it look like it?" She coughed.
I helped her get in her car and I drove her to the hospital.
***
"Congratulations ma'am, you're 3 months pregnant."
I stared at Carolina.
Her eyes were wide eyed and she was shaking.
"P-pregnant?"
The nurse frowned. "Is something wrong?"
"B-but...I don't remember..."
"Carolina, who'd you sleep with?" I interrupted.
"I...I remember waking up next to a guy... But I didn't think that..." She put her face in her hands and started crying.
I gave her a hug.
"It's okay Carolina."
I gave the nurse a look, telling her that we'd be fine. She smiled sadly and walked away.
I helped Carolina back into her car and drove her home.
"What do I do?" She asked.
"Do you know him?" I asked.
"No."
"Then, you'll have the baby, you'll take care of her or him." I said.
"But Diana, I...I don't want this baby."
I understand what she felt. If I was pregnant and I didn't exactly knew who the dad was...then I probably would've not wanted the baby.
"I would hate you if you did abortion, but I wouldn't be proud of you if you put the baby up for adoption." I said with a frown on my face.
"I know, I would hate myself too. I guess I'll just keep the baby." She sighed. "Can I sleepover at your place? Please?"
"Alright." I hugged her.
