Clutching the handbag close to her throbbing heart, drenching in the cold goosebumps causing droplets, she made her way in between the dark forest's road.Looking sideways for any help she moved her palm over her face to swipe the pearl when suddenly something touched her bare foots(as the rock on the floor took it), jumping at her place she flashed her head down to find her business card that fell from her vanity.
The card reflected her name,Riddhima Shah with her proffesion as an Artist.Being an artist in this robotic society was really tough for Riddhima, the taunts that she heard from her parents when her friends got settled with jobs paying them handsome amount of money is heart-rending.But she never cared about those barbs and concentrated on her work, the work of putting lives into the paintings. That doesn't mean that she never cried, she never screamed or she never shouted, it's just that she knew-
At the end of the day we all cry, silently.
Fasten rounding the card she took long strides wanting to reach under her roof but seems that the nature is in the mood of playing games with her,a dreadful game.Eerie sound waves reached her each and her subconscious turned her skull towards the host.
Her physique wanted to run and cover her fingers around her house's door but that spark of excitement to be the dora-the-explorer dragged her body towards the resonate.Pressing the dry but wet leaves under foot, she forwarded her hand to remove the tree's branch when something passed behind her.Turning her head with the speed of light in the vacuum, she digged her nails in her plams. Her cerebellum again signalled her to take steps forward but-
That red eyes that just twinkled infront of her was enough for her to let a shrill scream slip from her myocardium, leaving the shoulder bag right on ground she ran backwards without caring about her bars foots that were bleeding due to the throne twigs but is there is something more important than life??
No!All panting she came at the edge of the highway when her artistic brain's attention was wrapped by the glimpse of torn canvas paper nearby the roots of the teek tree.Swaping her fingers around the rolled paper she noticed the burnt edge, the flames that burnt the half facial apperance of the man present over there.
That fist that was holding the handbag few minutes ago was now filled with the canvas, with the wounded foots she ran wanting her life processes cycle to go on.
As soon as her phalanx felt the frostiness of the house's door knob she left a sigh of relief.
Still the menacing eyes flickering infront of her pupil.Closing the front door behind her making the room again go dark she leaned against it,she was taking sharp breathe when she remembered about the canvas.Unfolding the paper she trailed her fingers' skin along the paper's burnt marks when the lizard's low growls knocked her ear's drums.Folding it back she looked up to find the terror.
Those eyes,fuck!!
Those eyes again, there in the corner of the dark room.Everything went black afterwards, everything!!
To be continued...
