Why do I feel like I've done this before..?
Gyutaro thought as he sat on the roof of the Tokitou house.

A flashback of a girl with a blurred face appeared in his mind

'Ehh...Taro... You can... Let go of me now.'

"She sounds awfully a lot like (Y/n)"
Gyutaro muttered looking up at the stars.

He was waiting for Daki to leave so he could asked (Y/n) to come with him.
In that very moment Daki jumped through the open fusuma and ran into the distance.

This was his chance.

He quickly jumped down and opened the fusuma as quiet as possible.

"Did you forget something Daki-chan?"
(Y/n) questioned not bothering to look behind her.

"No... But I did wonder if I could show you something?"
Gyutaro said.

(Y/n) turned around surprised but her stoic expression was still the same.

"Gyutaro-san! You startled me!"
(Y/n) said

"Show me something?"
She continued looking fairly interested.

"Ye-Yeah! If you want to see it that is..."
Gyutaro said.

It wasn't like him to get embarrassed but here he was, stuttering, blushing and unable to keep eye contact with the demon in front of him.

"Sure. Let me get my Haori."
(Y/n) calmly said getting up from her spot and walking over to her Haori.

She slid it over her shoulders and turned back towards Gyutaro.

"Shall we?"
She said in a quiet manner.

The walk was quiet but not uncomfortable. At least not for (Y/n) she enjoyed the silence between them.

Both of them high ranking demons, yet, (Y/n) was frowned upon by the demon king. Even though she was one of his favorites he still doubted her a lot. She was a lower moon after all.

"We're here."
Gyutaro said awkwardly sitting down in the grass.

(Y/n) followed suit and they sat in silence for a few minutes.

"You know... I can't deny the fact that I feel like I've done this exact thing before.."
(Y/n) remarked looking around at her surrounding.

"Only... I was younger... Human in fact."
She said looking up at the sky now.

Gyutaro stayed quiet looking at the ground below him.

"The moon is quite lovely to night."
She continued.

Gyutaro had no Idea what those words meant.

"I agree."
He said clearly disappointing (Y/n) in the process.

"Do you... Remember anything from when you were human?"
(Y/n) asked looking at her companion.

"I get flashbacks now and then but the faces are always blurred."
Gyutaro answered.

"What about you?"
He then asked.

"I remember... I was really good friends with these siblings. I can't remember their names though. It was during the Edo period the same period as I was turned into a demon. I remember bits and pieces but never the people just events."
She answered.

After a few minutes of silence she continued.

"I had a lover.. At least I think he was."

"Oh did you..? I also remember something about a lover but that must've been a dream. I mean who would love... Me?"
He mumbled the last part.

Yet (Y/n) still picked it up.

"Don't say that about yourself. It's annoying. You keep lying. You're beautiful in your own way so stop downgrading yourself."
(Y/n) said annoyed at her friend's foolish remark.

"Look at the sky.."
Gyutaro said.

"How beautiful..."

You're more beautiful.
Gyutaro thought as he watched the shooting stars with you.
