Jack and Nikki Silent Witness

Part 1

"Are you sure you don't want to stay at the Lyell?" Nikki asked Sam as Jack walked towards his girlfriend.

He made sure to leave enough room to make sure they looks how friends would stand with each other as they where still keeping their relationship a secret since they both Know Simone and Clarissa will have a lot to say.

"You could be boss again" jack smirks "Niks hates being the boss. Especially when Clarissa and Simone are together"

"I think I might take it. Why not. I need a change after all this mess" the Irish woman replies with a smile.

"That's it then. We are off to the pub to meet them two and max you are of course invited" Nikki smiles as she goes to grab her and jacks coats from their desks that are opposite from each other.

"Sounds excellent to me" Sam laughs as they walk to the door.

The three of them walk in to their local pub and are greeted by Clarissa, Simone and Max sat in their Usual spot.

"Hi guys, please meet our new boss" jack pointed to Sam.
Which caused the gang to cheer.

"Sam what you drinking?" The Irish man then asked.

"I white wine would be lovely" she replied.

"Usuals guys?" He questioned as he cocked his eye brow up

They all smiled and nodded.

" I'll give you a hand" Nikki offered wanting a Moment to her self and jack knowing they won't get one again unless they manage to go to each other's without making it obvious.

The couple walked over to the bar and jack made the orders before turning to Nikki

"You look beautiful tonight" the Irish man whispered has he tried his hardest to subtly check his girlfriend out.

"I would say thank you but I've been dressed like this all day darling I look a mess" she chuckled as she straightened out the front of her dress.

"You always look amazing. It gets unbearable some times." He said getting closer to here ear to make sure no one heard. Which caused the Blonde to laugh and nudge his arm.

"So your telling me those two aren't a couple?" Sam said to the gang back at the table.

"Well... we all know they are together we are just waiting for them to announce it" max said looking at his wife and Simone.

"We are also having a little bet on when they will announce it if you would like to join in" Clarissa said with a smirk. "Thomas was also in it until he passed so the winnings so far is £100."

"We also have had DIs we work with often. Such as DI Raymond. When she worked the first case with us that I was on she asked then and they wasn't together at that point" Simone said which caused the group to let out a laugh.

"Wait so how long have them been together because I thought you was going to say they've been together for years. They look so comfortable together." Sam said looking at the couple.

"It's what happens when you've been friends for over 10 years"  Clarissa said taking a sip of her drink

The couple walked over to the table with the round of drinks in their hands. Nikki sat on the booth next to Sam and jack took the seat next to her at the the head of the table. Swiftly jack hooks his leg around Nikki trying to touch her in any way possible. With out getting caught.

At the end of the night the group went home jack offering to 'drive Nikki home so she didn't have to walk home alone' they all hugged each other and said they would see each other on Monday.

The couple got in the car and the first thing Nikki did was lean over and waited for jack to look at her.

"What you looking at babe" he said with a child like smile on his face.

"I'm waiting for a kiss. It's been 10 very long hours" the woman said puckering her lips.

To which her lover happily obligated and gave a quick peck on the lips.

"Is that it" she joked putting a pout on her face.

So he grabbed her face and gave her a long kiss.

"We going yours or mine?" He asked.

"Mine?"

"Sounds good to me" he whispered and set of driving to his home for the night.

The couple got to The house and she let them in. He walked to put the kettle on for the pair of them whilst she got comfy on the couch and turned the tv on.

"Jack do you want to carry on watching stranger things?" She shouted to him in the kitchen.

"Yeah go on then love but I'm not promising I will stay awake tho" he chuckled as he brought their cups of tea into the living room and placed them on the coffee table. He settled down on the couch in between Nikki legs and settled down on her chest.

"I'm so glad that case it finally over" she whispered into his ear as she placed a kiss into his temple once she had pressed play on the show.

"I know same. Hopefully these murderers let us have the weekend off. I want to spend all of it in these arms." He replied as he wiggled further into her embrace pressing a kiss to her arm.

"What would Clarissa say if she heard you was as soppy as this" she giggled wrapping her legs around his waist.

"You wouldn't dare Nikki Alexander" he said turning in her arms forgetting about the show they where watching. Nuzzling his nose into her neck and started pressing kisses into her.

"Never. But I do think we should tell them soon"Mumbled into his hair and pressed a kiss.

"Come on Nikki they know. They've always known." He lifted his head up and looked her in the eyes "they've been betting on us."

"Oh really. I think we should give a little pay back. How much is this winnings?"

"Nearly more than £100 I believe unless they have got someone else involved" jack smiled as he kissed her lips.

"How about we get this money?" She giggled.

"How?"

"If we get DI rains to make a bet if she already hasn't. That we announce it on Wednesday."

"Ok. Let's do it baby" he smiles kissing her lips.

The couple watched the end of the show before heading to bed. Both excited to announce their relationship and finally be able to start looking forward to their future together. Nikki knew she wanted him to move in with her and jack knew he wanted to tell this woman he loved her.
