"I don't know Jan, It's been almost two whole years sice I'd heard from Thor he could be back anyday!" Jennifer explained to Janet. Jennifer Walter the incredible She-Hulk was on the phone to fellow Avenger Janet Van Dyne "Jen, He left you without a word and hasn't been around in over two years now. He's not coming back I think." Jan replied back to her. "Sweetie I know you really care or well cared for him. You need to move on." She said sternly "It's been four years since I split with Hank and I'm doing great." Deep down Jennifer knew her friend was right. Two Years ago She and Thor Odinson were in a strong relationship until one night he'd just up and vanished not a word to her. She decided to stay faithful but right now as Jan explained to her to move on she sat down and sighed finally relenting to her friend. "I know okay. It's just he didn't care that I was all, Y'know" She said gesturing to herself although Janet couldn't see. "Well the Avengers can handle anything with the teams posted around the states so why not take a leave and spend some time." Jennifer sighed in defeat. "Sounds like a nice idea, wanna catch dinner next time you're in town?" She asked "I'd love to. Cya Jen" Jan said ending the call. Jennifer sat on her sofa. By the end of her day she'd resigned from the Avengers and was in the middle of setting up a dating profile. Not wanting to for a popular one she looked for a more, under the radar one. After setting it up she started swiping through profiles. "Nope not a mullet, hmm not looking for a long distance. On about her tenth profile she stopped. "Huh he's cute." She said as she looked through the bio:

Name: Y/n L/n

Occupation: Librarian

: Age: Y/a

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for but hopefully not just a one night stand. "Short and Sweet I like it.."

She swiped right on it. On the other end of the spectrum. "All right all locked up for the night." You mumble to yourself as you lock up the local library and start making your way home where you begin making dinner for yourself. Sighing to yourself as the place was a lot less lively after your ex dumped you to go chase after a small time hero. *bzzz* *bzzz* you look at your phone to see a notification appear "Huh I forgot I installed that app.." You opened your phone to see the notification for Lovebug a relatively underground dating app with effective albeit odd choice for matches. "Jennifer Walter... sounds familiar" You mumble as the app loads for you to see the 8ft tall heroine had swiped right on you! You who was just a manager for one of the cities libraries. Dumbfounded you sat there wondering if it just happened to be a mistake. You quickly began typing out a reply.

Y/n: Uh Hi? Not sure if this is a mistake or not but you swiped right on me but pleased to meet you none the less.

Jennifer picked up her phone after just placing it down tired of seeing the app had horrible taste in men. Only for her phone to vibrate and a small smile appeared on her face.

Jennifer: Hi! No it was not an accident, I was surprised to see someone like you on here in all honesty I wasn't even sure if I was gonna get a reply let alone get one this soon

Y/n and Jennifer spent hours talking to each other

Jennifer: So wait you had to climb a ladder over three times your height and you nearly fell? She texted absolutely shocked at how clumsy her new friend? Love interest? Future lover? really was.

Y/n: Yea it was terrifying all for the lady to say the book she was looking for was on the lower shelves." He said laughing to himself

Jennifer wiped a tear it was now 9pm for her she made herself a coffee giggling like a school girl that she might have found someone after two years...

Jennifer: So it may be a bit soon but could I ask what made you install this app in the first place? You seem to be doing fairly well for yourself and from what I saw on your profile you're quite the looker.

There was a few minutes of silence. Jennifer began to panic "Shit shit shit did I fuck up, was I not supposed to go there. Ugh nice one Jen." she mumbled as she fell on the couch and shoved her face in a pillow. On the other side Y/n was there unsure how to reply. The night had been really fun so far and he didn't really want to bring the mood down. But on the other hand felt a connection with her hell it may not have been the strongest at the moment but it was there. So he began typing

Y/n: It was about a year ago. I'd gotten off shift early and was going home to hopefully take my partner Jamie out it'd been our 5th anniversary I wanna say three months before this. I got home to find her cheating on me. With my now ex best friend who is a "Superhero" all I've seen him do is film dumb videos on social media. I dropped them both and have been going it solo since.

Jennifer's phone buzzed. She picked it up and read the message suddenly feeling worse for sending her last message.

Y/n: How about you? One of Earth Mightiest Heroes. I thought you'd have people gushing all over you.

Jen sighed in relief seeming like he wasn't going to leave her.

Jennifer: Well I was in a relationship with who you may know as Thor. We'd been going steady for about a year and just out of no-where he'd left and hasn't been back in about nearly two and a half years.

Y/n: Looks like we both can't pick good partners.

Jennifer: Ah huh. Say, You busy right now?

Y/n: Other than talking to you not really why?

Jennifer: You know any good bars?

Y/n: Uh The Varnish is pretty good, you know it?

Jennifer: sounds good 10.30?

Y/n: Sure I'll see you there

Jennifer: Cya Handsome

Jennifer sat up. Gears turning in her mind. "I'm not moving to fast am I?" She pulled out her phone and called up a friend "Hey Tony, could you do a favor and rent out a bar for me."

"Huh whats the occasion Green Meanie" Jen sighed " You know I don't like that name. I got a date." Tony paused "A date huh... sure what bar" Jen put Tony on speaker uh The Varnish in LA." "Done." Tony told her. Thank you Tony. "Think of it as a resignation gift but I bought the bar. Have a good night Jen" Tony hung up getting back to work on a set of supersized restraints for who knows what.

Jen went to her bedroom and looked for a dress. "Hmm something casual but also slightly revealing. "Ah huh." She said grabbing her choice outfit.

Y/n on the other hand was running round his apartment looking for his dress shirts.

"Why'd I say the Varnish its on the other side of town, If she'd suggest tomorrow I'd go after work but ugh who cares! It's good to get out the house."

Y/n tidied himself up and began running down the street as running would be quicker.

As time flew by with Jen arriving five minutes early and stood outside. Looking through photos until she looked at the time and it was 11.45 she sighed "Maybe he's going to be a no show." She looked at a few more photos lingering on one of her and Thor. She turned her phone off and began walking away. "Jen!" She stopped to see you there in nice clothes looking like you'd just ran a marathon. "Sorry *pant* I'm *pant* late." You said wheezing. I live on the other side of town. Jennifer walked up to you. You look up at the towering woman and without thinking "Holy hell... you look stunning." Jennifer's face suddenly gets a small accent of pink on her cheeks. "I almost left, why didn't you say you lived on the other side of town?" You think "Uhhh I'm not sure I just thought of the nicest bar I know" know he wanted to take her somewhere nice made Jennifer smile. "Well, shall we then? I asked a friend if he could rent it out for us and just us tonight." she said offering a hand. You reach up and hold it as you open the door for her. Seem like the night has just begun.
