Music ran through the city, People cheered and danced around as they walked around the streets happily, A young boy held his mothers hand as they walked stall to stall buying food and other necessities, he smiled at the people who sang songs. He tugged his mothers hand gaining her attention. "Mom. Lets go closer to the band please."

His mother shook he head. "No Christian we can't. We've got to get back home okay? Daddy is waiting for us remember?"

Christian pouted. "But--"

"No buts okay. We've got to go home now." He looked upset but didn't say anything and quietly followed his mother. Suddenly a jeep entered, with 6-7 men heavily armed. They started shooting, in the air and people around them. Everyone started screaming and running away from them. People got pushed, and thrown to the ground. Christians mom looked horrified and held his hand as she started running away.

Suddenly, one of the people who was running pushed the two making Christian's hand slip out of his mothers and when he looked up he was alone and without his mother. People continued running and he ran around looking everywhere. "Mom! Mom!" He breathed heavily looking everywhere but couldn't find her.

"Christian! Christian!" He heard his mothers voice over the yelling. He started running towards the voice and finally through the crowd he saw his mother. He smiled relived and started running towards her.

He then heard a gunshot. One specific gunshot out of all the others that were firing everywhere. He stopped and looked towards his mother and saw a red spot in her clothes, in the middle of he stomach. The red started spreading all around as she fell onto the ground eyes opened, without a blink.

"MOMMY!" He sprinted towards her and went down onto his knees. He shaked her but there was no reply. Her eyes stayed opened but her heart had stopped beating.

Tears fell out of his eyes as he looked right at his mothers dead body unable to do anything for her.

A man jumped down from the jeep and looked at the dead bodies and dusted himself off. He sighed and turned around to get back onto the jeep but them he noticed Christian crying over his dead mom.

He hummed and walked towards him and kneeled down next to him. He looked at him crying and then at his mom's dead body. He then reached over and closed her eyes.

He looked at Christian and wiped off the tears off his eyes. "Hey kid. What's your name?"

"Ch- chr- Christian." He stuttered.

The guy smiled. "Christian. That's a nice name." He extended his hand towards him. "Come with me."

He shook his head. "My mommy." He looked at his mother. The man sighed and put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry. I helped your mom. She's now in a better place and after a few years you'll see her again. It's like she never left."
