He is so pretty.
His Hair's pretty.
His eyes are pretty.
His hands are pretty.
His smiles are pretty.

The trash below you is not as much. You grab your broom and sweep up the off-brand candy wrappers with a hum. Humming a Billy Idol song, you threw the dustpan collection away. You glance over back to the boy, closing your eyes.
Eddie Munson.
His aura and way of thought entranced you. You had never felt something like this before.
Looking through his folded mind was a treat to a physic like you.

You glance back to your bracelets, covering your number. 005.
You wipe your now bloody nose and put your broom back. "You come here often?" you turn to see the Eddie Munson leaning on your counter. "Hmm, no. Not really. " you look at your name tag. "Y/n... Pretty name for a pretty princess.." the boys behind him laughed. "If only it was my real one." you sigh dramatically.

Eddie's eyebrow raised, "Oh, so an enchantress. Can I beg to hear your real name?" "You can try." "I'm Eddie." he puts out his ring-filled hand, and a light blush grows on your cheek. You shake it with your own ring-scattered hand. "Cool rings." he takes your hand and looks at each. "Bracelets, you really have a 'eye' for it." Eddie glances back up at you. You were wearing evil eye bracelets.

You smile, before he kisses your hand, keeping his eyes on you through the whole motion. You glance at his shirt. "What's it take to get a shirt?" you ask, eyeing his chest. He snickers, "Orientation, trials, sure you can handle it?"
"What kind of trials?" you both kept leaning closer to the word. "Dangerous, perilous, deadly even."
"Ah, those are the best kind."
"Really?"
"You know it."

You were seconds away from colliding until the bell rang in your store. You pulled back and saw a few blonde boys walk in. Eddie frowns but grabs your resting hand again. He grabs a pen and writes down his number on your hand. "Call me if you're interested, princess.." Eddie grins before walking off with his gang. You glance at your hand again with a smile.
"Stay away from him."

You see a few jocks checking out with beer. "Munson's a freak. In some weird cult." you laugh and scan his item. "Aw, you sound scared." you giggle, bagging it up. He hands you a 10-dollar bill. "Whatever, you'll realize it when it's too late," he mumbled a quick curse before leaving with a few other boys. "Watch out! That cults outside!" you mock as they leave with a laugh.

You turn the lights off in your small store before locking the door, headphones on. You feel a familiar aura, so when two hands take your headphones off your ears you don't jump. "So, billy idol huh?" you finish locking the door. "He's a God," you remark, sliding the key out. "Can't disagree with that." He places the headphones on your neck with a pet. "So you're into rock then?" "aren't all Bards?" "You- play DnD?" "no, I haven't. I read all the books, I write more- but uh no I haven't." you thought it would drag too much attention to you, more than your dyed hair would've.

"Why not? So interested in the lore- why not try it out on a real board?" "Scared princess?" "Would you hold my hand if I was?" a blush appeared on his cheeks, with a grin. You walk by him as he hugs a pole, watching you. "So, let's stop pretending we aren't flirting- and go to my place..?" You stop, "It's not like I have a car." You shrug and turn back to him. "Be my chariot won't you?" He dangled his keys with a smirk and jumped in the van with you. "Wowie. This thing's loaded." You look around, Eddie blushes and throws a few random cans and containers out.

"Wasn't expecting company, not from a princess like you." He slides into the driver's seat and revs up his crappy engine. You could feel he was anxious. He was scared of not impressing you. "Don't worry." You speak out, almost covering your mouth in surprise. "I've uh- been worse. It's my job to clean up after drunk teens." You save yourself, letting out a small sigh of relief as you feel his anxiety melt a bit.

You smiled, as you watched his face on the road, stopping to take glances at you.

💫

That is how you met Eddie Munson. The Eddie Munson. Now, your Eddie Munson.

Your first dates flew by, your first campaigns, everything felt so great. Like it wasn't real like it was another fake dream in your head you conjured up, better than anything you could've made. Because- you never told him who you were. Not your real name, not your tattoo, and not your scars. Not that you could feel emotions, not that you could steal them or read minds, or that you brainwashed yourself into forgetting everything that happened in that Rainbow Room.

It was all covered in a thick mist, of your own creation. The headaches were terrible, sometimes so unbearable you had to cancel dates and make up excuses. But it was all worth it. Just to forget what happened in that Rainbow Room.

💫

"Y/n!" You jumped up from your counter. "There's- a huge group of angry white boys out there- trying to kill me!" Eddie gasped for air, he must've been running for miles. You grab your key and rush to the door when it slams open. You fell back but it was too late, they were already cornering Eddie, Steve, and Dustin. "Shit! Look- He didn't do anything okay?" "He just looks like he's in a cult he's not actually in one!" "Y/n it's fine you can get out of here-!" Eddie assures. "No- no no- This town has had enough of your rituals, of your crimes, and of your Hellfire." Jason pulls up his bat.

Your eyes widen and close your eyes. You heard the crack of his bat hitting the floor. "Jason! What the fuck-" You heard a hammer fall now too. You pull yourself up. The two boys were sobbing on the floor, curling up in sorrow. "What the fuck?!" Eddie curses, "No way- no way-" Dustin looks at your bloody nose. "Steve-Steve!" Steve glances over now. "What the fuck- DUstin! DUstin!" He cheers with his younger friend. "What?! What the fuck? Why are we cheering?!" Eddie looks over to you. "Did they do that to you..?" You wipe it quickly.

Eddie glares at the sobbing boys before kicking one hard in the jaw into the other. "Fucking- Assholes! Watch! Where! You! Stomp!" He kept up for one last kick. Eddie rushes up to you and checks your face, "Not much damage- you're looking great." Eddie kisses your temples. "He doesn't know.." "He doesn't know!" "Why doesn't he know?!" "Know what you morons?" Eddie turns with his hands on his hips.

"uh-why didn't you tell him?" Dustin asks, "Tell me what?" Eddie turns to you. "It's not like a remember it- why tell him something that doesn't matter at all and is stupid and dumb?!" You say, frantically. You touch your head in a stumble, "Y/n.. what's up? Did- you do that to them?" "Yes, she did! She's like that one super-powered girl we told you about." "Wait- are- they serious?" "I don't use them that-much-" "You do?! YOU HAVE SUPERPOWERS AND DIDN'T TELL ME?!"

"I- didn't tell you- because- er- because-" "Because?!" "Those headaches I have- I use my powers to block out bad brainwash junk in my head- and then I got headaches- and the brainwash junk is how I got my powers- and It's all so- bad." The room fell quiet. "We- didn't tell you how El got her powers.." Steve begins. "It was some nasty illegal brainwashing shit! With the FBI- She was stolen from her parents- and swiped from school and-" "STOP!" You shout. Everyone begins to shake, tears bubbling in their eyes, and a tear falls down your own. "Uh- sorry! I am so sorry!" They all take deep a breather.

"Okay- slow down- so- you were thrown in some creepy government facility when you were born- you got powers- then you decided to work at a Walgreens?" "I know you want to talk about this but doing that jeopardizes everything I did up here!" You point to your temple. "Okay?! Stuffing that shit up there isn't healthy anyway! Maybe that's why you didn't tell me- or them!"

"No- no you don't get it. If I don't stuff it- I don't think I'll be able to stop projecting. What you felt- I'll feel all over again." You plead, "And I'll help you this time. I promise. I promise I will!" Eddie grabs your hands. "What if I don't want you to?" You ask, "Well- that sucks because it's happening- and there's nothing you can do about it!" "right?!" He looks back to the two awkwardly standing boys. "Uh, right on." "Sure."

"I don't think I want to." you sigh, "Especially with one, I don't know if I can fight if I'm- all gummed up." "You're gummed up right now, aren't you? Your headaches- your memories-"
Eddie grabbed your shoulders frantically, "please." you gulp.

"Okay."

"Okay."
