Ashton entered my bedroom sleepily and walked around the bed to then slump down on it and immediately snuggled into the pillow. I looked at him with an amused expression and then asked him as he looked up at me, "Are you okay?"

"Can I nap here?" he asked in a small voice with a small pout, resembling a child.

I chuckled lightly at how adorable he looked. Then I said, "Do you really have to ask permission? It's your house."

"It's yours too, and it's your room."

I just chuckled with an amused shake of my head, then turned my attention back to the book that I am reading. But to my surprise, the book was suddenly snatched from my hand. I looked at Ashton in surprise and he just looked back at me as he closed the book and placed it on the nightstand on his side.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Enough with the book. Now, pay attention to me," he answered me as he gently pulled me to him, making me fall on top of him.

I laughed at what he said and then looked down at him and said, "So you're this attention-seeking, clingy, house-owner now?"

"Only when it's your attention."

I smiled at him and then leaned down to kiss him. I felt his hands wrap around my body, making me feel so warm, and I couldn't help but smile again into the kiss.

Ashton pulled away a little to look at me. "What?" He asked with a soft smile playing on his lips.

"You just feel so warm."

"Do you like that?"

"Yeah...so comfy."

Ashton chuckled, "Glad to be of service."

I laughed lightly, then I moved off him to lay down next to him and cuddle. Ashton had his arm around my shoulders, while I laid my head down on his chest and had our legs tangled together. I slipped a hand inside his t-shirt and gently caressed his stomach. I felt him press a soft kiss on my hair and I smiled at that.

"Luke..." he suddenly said.

"Yeah?"

"What do you think would have happened to us now if, you know, we didn't break up at that time when you had to leave and things didn't go the way they did? Do you think we're still together now?"

I was honestly surprised by his question. It was something I never thought would be brought up between us now. But I can say by the tone of his voice and how he asked that he was just purely wondering what could have happened, and so, I answered him with what I honestly think would have happened, "I think we're still together until now."

"You do?" he said with a hint of surprise in his voice.

"Yeah. We may even have been married already. I believed in marriage back then, and I've always wanted to marry you," I said as I looked up at him.

Ashton smiled, "Yeah...we used to talk about getting married before."

"Yeah, and having kids."

He chuckled, "True. But, you don't believe in marriage now?"

"Not really...I mean, I just don't want to get married to anyone, you know?"

"Why?"

"I don't know...Maybe I've witnessed a lot of failed marriages and so I lost faith in it. It's like people only get married to be divorced."
