"Monsieur Blanche and his wife had given us some soup to go on top of what I was paid for my services." Emil said, opening up his bag and carefully pulling out an iron pot and setting it down on a small wooden table that Jean had successfully managed to fix, so now it wouldn't collapse under the slightest touch.

"Well, it's definitely a nice change from constantly earing bread for three days straight..." Esme murmured into his wine glass, only to let out a slightly choked cry when Jean elbowed him in his side.

Violet giggled softly, while Tsura remained quiet as she passed out bowls that Jean had "acquired" not that long ago. She really didn't like that her brother had stolen from someone within the city, since it only fed into the belief that their people were nothing more than thieves who couldn't be trusted.

"So, Tsura. How are you feeling?" Violet asked as she smiled at her daughter knowingly, which made Tsura's face turn slightly pink in response. However, she didn't give an answer as she sipped her wine silently.

"Fine." She finally replied, keeping her tone low as she looked up at the stone ceiling at the artificial moon and stars that decorated it, from a few lanterns. Emil tilted his head to the side, as he gave her a confused look.

"Hmm, maybe I should ask for him to come around more often to help you when you're having headaches, then." Violet said, which made Emil even more confused.

"No. Mama, that's not necessary. I-I wouldn't want to-"

"Who is this lad that you're all talking about? And what did he do to ease Tsura's headaches?" Emil cut in, as he raised his glass to his lips.

"Seduced her, that's what." Jean said bitterly, which made Emil almost do a spit take, yet he quickly composed himself while Violet's eyes widened in alarm.

"What?" Violet asked, while Tsura's face turned bright red with embarrassment, wishing that she could just vanish into thin air.

"You should have seen them! He had her laying on the floor, and was practically pinning her down, and was undressing her with his eyes!" Esme yelled, which made Tsura's face turn even more red, and she put her hands on her face, feeling her mother and father's eyes on her.

"Esme! Don't yell such nonsense out loud! You want the entire community to hear you?" Violet said, while Esme folded his arms across his chest.

Tsura frowned as she stood up and started walking away, ignoring Emil and Violet's calls for her to come back. She walked into the square of the court of miracles and ran her fingers through her hair as she looked around. She needed someone to talk to, preferably not her family, nor Clopin. She honestly didn't think she could face him at the moment.

The feeling of another person making contact with her was what snapped her out of her thoughts, and she frowned as she stumbled back a little bit. Looking up, she froze when she saw that she had bumped into someone clad in mostly a dark shade of greenish-blue and violet trimming. He had medium length black hair and brown eyes which shined behind a violet eye mask.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you." Tsura said as she snapped out of her dazed stare. The man looked at her for a moment, before he smiled and gave her a small laugh.

"Oh no. The fault is all mine. I wasn't looking where I was going. I hadn't really had the chance to cut my hair in a while, so it was kind of obscuring my vision." He responded as he brushed his hair back away from his eyes, before taking a headband and putting it in his hair, keeping it away from his face.

Tsura tilted her head to the side as she looked at him, she could have sworn she has seen him before, but just couldn't place her finger on it.

"My name's Damien. The soldiers in Paris kind of call me Le Cavalier de L'ombre." He said with a soft laugh, while Tsura's eyes widened with recognition. Now she knew why he looked familiar. She remembered seeing him in the city, stealing from noblemen and despite the soldiers' best efforts, always end up losing sight of him for he always made it a point to run and hide within the dark corners of buildings and alleyways.

"I'm Tsura Dupont, um...Emi-"

"Emil's daughter. I know. I've seen you around here long enough to know who you are." Damien said, slightly shocking her with how blunt he was.

"Also, Clopin has talked about you of course. He seems to think very fondly of you." Damien said and Tsura raised an eyebrow in surprise. He thinks fondly of me, despite the fact that we just barely met not that long ago in the city? She thought. Damien smiled and folded his arms across his chest.

"And I can see as to why. You are just as beautiful as your mother. If you don't mind me saying so." He continued, allowing for his arms to drop back to his sides. The blush on Tsura's face grew, and she looked down to try and conceal it.

"Well, it was a pleasure finally meeting you, Tsura. Hopefully we meet again." Damien said as he bowed before turning around on his heel and walking away, leaving her standing there with emotions that she couldn't understand...
