CHAPTER 1

I sat under the tree, waiting for Milla. She came running to where I was sitting "Tanya! Tanya! It's papa's birthday! Can we please go to the market to buy him a gift? Please Tanya?" she said shouting, but I knew father didn't like to celebrate his birthday... He thought it was a curse, my grandmama died on his birthday and since then he never celebrated his birthday. Milla was born afterwards so she didn't know about our grandmother. "Milla, I did not want to be the one to tell you this but its time you know..." I told her everything and she was so devastated. I felt bad. "But guess what? We can go to the market and get you anything you want! Okay?" she smiled but I knew she was upset. We went down to the market and she bought a pretty Ice-blue dress with a pearl embraided waist. She looked like the little princess she was! I also bought her a pretty white teddy with brown eyes and a blue bowtie to match her dress we went back home to see my mom passed out on the floor and out father was no-where in sight "Tanya... what is wrong with mama? Will she be alright?" she said "I have no idea what is going on but we must rush her to the nurse!" I said and off we were carrying mama to the nurse. The nurse said " Honey, your mother had a heart attack and is no longer alive, I am so sorry, sugar" Milla broke down on the floor as the nurse and I tried to console her..." When we went back home Milla ran to her room and locker herself in I tried to get her to open up but she just won't budge! I told her I am going to look for dad and left the house I looked all around the lake.. the beach asked a bunch of people but none of them had seen my father. I was very upset when I came back I heard screams from Milla's room...
