Damien has been following Tsura around all day, being very careful to not allow for himself to get spotted. While he was used to hiding from soldiers on a daily basis, he had to be careful to not allow for Clopin to see him. Damien couldn't allow for him to take Tsura. Everyone else might be blind to how their so-called king was constantly looking at her, but he wasn't an idiot. Damien had known from the moment he had heard Clopin start talking about Tsura that he didn't have any pure intentions of trying to court the woman like a normal man would. No; it was much darker than that. So much darker.
Damien took a deep breath as he quickly, yet silently continued to follow after Clopin and Tsura. And while he knew that while if he were to get caught by Tsura, he really hoped that she would be able to understand that he was only doing this because he cared about her and her safety. But was this really the right way to go about it? He was practically stalking her every time she was to enter the city.
He stopped in the dark alley, his attention drawn elsewhere as he heard what sounded like a carriage being forced into the river. Curiosity had gotten the better of him and he quickly ran towards the bridge in time to see Frollo's soldiers forcibly pulling Romani out from the river and cuffing their hands behind their backs.
"Twenty pieces of Silver, for the Gypsy Esmeralda." Frollo said, his tone aggressive, and it was no surprise to see the group remain silent and looking away from him. But it just didn't make sense to Damien as to why Frollo was so obsessed with finding Esmeralda.
Unless...
Damien's eyes widened and he was quick to run back towards the city. He couldn't believe that he didn't see the similarities earlier. Clopin was lusting after Tsura, the same way that Frollo was for Esmeralda.
