It all started one night, back when things were normal to begin with. The lights were on, music was playing, and young people were being... well, young people. But one of them didn't realize what that night was going to become. His name was Jonnah.
He wore a brown sleeveless vest with a grey long-sleeved shirt and beige cargo shorts. He also had medium-length auburn hair with a fair skin color. He was talking to someone at the moment. She had lengthy brown hair past shoulder length, along with a pink sweater with a rainbow on it, a purple skirt, and black dress shoes with socks.
"So, did you hear about that new announcement at Comic Con? It's gonna be so bananas, Jonnah!" The girl exclaimed, bouncing in the coach in excitement.
"Yeah, Mabel. But apparently not as much as you are." Jonnah said with a smile, obviously eager at the news too.
Mabel put on a look of joy. "Why wouldn't I be? My girls Candy and Grenda told me a lot of good things about this event, especially when it comes to a certain boy we're about to meet." She replied
Just then, someone gave Mabel a slight nudge on her arm as she spoke up.
"Jeez, Mabel. All these years, and you still talk about boys."
She had short dark-blue hair and brown eyes, wearing an olive green shirt, a turquoise jacket, a yellow skirt, brown boots, and an olive green beanie hat.
"Hey, I still make time for girls, Janna. It's just one of the perks of girl time. Besides, I gave up that kind of crazy boy obsession a long time ago." Mabel gave her a frown as she protested. Then, her face showed a serious look as she spoke. "Those were dark days..."
Just then, the group was joined by a few new people. One of them was a petite woman with short blue hair and freckles, wearing a lab coat, a light brown skirt, and a blue and gray sweater vest with a pi/pie pin on her left with black boots. Another was a Latino-American teenager of medium height with a slender build, tan skin, dark brown hair, brown eyes, and a mole on his right cheek. He was wearing a light gray shirt, a red hoodie, dark gray skinny jeans, and olive and white sneakers. And finally, the third had wavy, shoulder-length platinum blond hair with an aqua streak on the left side, tan skin, mint green eyes, and freckles. She had a slim, curvy body, wearing a green and white raglan shirt, an orange seashell necklace, cyan jean shorts, green and white knee socks, and blue and white sneakers.
"What about dark days?" The third of the group spoke up.
Mabel, Janna, and Jonnah turned to see the group as Mabel waved to her.
"Hey, Jackie. Can you tell Janna that I'm not as obsessed over boys like I used to be?" Mabel said as she gave Janna a slight glare. It was obvious she was ready to fight. Jonnah got a bit worried over that, but before she could bare her fangs, the blue-haired girl broke it up.
"Okay, settle down now, Mabel. I think you've made yourself clear enough."
The boy looked at the group in confusion, wondering how things got to that point. However, with what sounded like a main event coming up, he had a theory.
"You guys were talking about the Comic Con convention, aren't you?"
Mabel responded with a resounding, "Heck, yeah!"
"She's just excited to spend time with Grenda and Candy looking at cute boys." Jonnah spoke up next, adding in detail what she told him.
"I get it. It's a perk of girl time, right?" Jackie crossed her arms with a smirk.
"Thank you!" Mabel reacted heavily as she held her arms out.
After a second of awkward silence, Jonnah moved on. "Anyway, you guys coming along, Marco?" He asked.
