"Love is a fire. But whether it is going to warm your heart or burn down your house, you can never tell."

Kiara had nothing to respond back on Dhruv's last message. Those slight words could convince her there was a slight hope, yet the surrounding situation was forcing her to act practically. They were discussing an engagement that was planning to happen in a week. Couldn't her heart understand the seriousness of the event? Couldn't her heart stop displaying fantasy and act practically?

Sleep was far away from Kiara. She had never thought, she could be ever deprived of sleep. Nothing in the world had stressed her enough that she was offered a sleepless night. Until she discovered the feelings she had for Dhruv. She was annoyed as well as confused when she spent hours laying on the bed. The darkness surrounding her, the clock ticking in the background. Making her aware of the time passing but she won't be offered sleep.

With time she got used to her sleepless night with her mind drifting to Dhruv constantly. Indirectly forcing her to fantasize about them. About the future that never was going to take place. At times she was uncertain if she would be in contact with Dhruv in the coming years. Maybe they would be so engrossed with life that friendship would fade away to distance.

After freshening up as she walked downstairs for breakfast. She typed a message to Dhruv.

"Good morning," she was a girl who considered greeting as formalities. Those words were rarely out of her mouth or hardly typed until she meant it from the heart. She wanted to convince herself that he was in a better mood than the previous night and it was rather her way of checking on him. She shoves the phone into her pocket starting a day with a beautiful smile.

The conversation at the dining table revolved around the upcoming engagement announced by Renuka to Kajal. Rajeev looked from his plate filled with parathas. "You hadn't informed anything about it?" Inquired glancing at Kiara with a suspicious gaze.

"I was busy with things but I was informed by Avni, last night."

"But Renu was saying there was much argument about the topic. It had been days since Dhruv and Aditi are into the daily debate. They can't come on the same conclusion about it. Seems like Dhruv needs time while Aditi is excited for the day." Kajal was sharing the information Renuka had offered her with.

"Aditi isn't wrong. Anyone will be excited about the wedding and she always had a basic idea about her amazing future. She can't help feeling desperate."

The conversation ended over there and soon Kiara left for her office. Her mind frequently drifted towards the human that hadn't responded to her text. During the entire office hour, she felt an urge to glance at her mobile.

"Growing impatient for someone?" She heard a familiar husky voice and she wasn't in a mood to get further annoyed by him. "I knew the reason behind ignoring my presence was the existence of someone special. Ouch! The revelation hurt to various degrees." Kiara raised her head to glance at Harshad. He had made a heartbroken face as his hand was placed on his heart to add dramatic effect.

"You are aware, right? She hates your existence." Yami chuckled whose desk was next to Kiara's.

"That makes it more interesting. Those set of round black orbs stares at you with the hope that they could murder you. I never had such a cute enemy." He chuckled glancing once again at Kiara. "So, who is this someone special? The guy I met yesterday? I knew he had some feeling involved." Kiara's eyes widen in horror at his comment.
