Lily's POV

"Oh, Sorry", he said after he looked up (he was also looking down at his phone)

"It's fine", I said back

"Hey, are you new in town?", he asked

"Yeah, actually I am, I just moved here from Illinois", I said

"Cool, hey if you want I can show you around", he said

"Yeah, sure", I said as we started to walk to the boardwalk

"By the way, what's your name?" he said

"It's Liliana Grander but you can call me Lily, what's yours?" I said

"It's Christian Collins, you can call me Chris though" he said

It's been about 10 minutes since we started walking and we were talking the whole time."We're almost there, it's like 3 minutes away from here" he said.

"Wow, it's really close to my house" I said

"Really? Where do you live?" he said

"I live on 48 Ember Road" I said

As soon as I said that he smiled from ear to ear. "Really? That's so cool, that's where I used to live" he exclaimed.

"OMG, thts so funny" I said

"Im walking you back home" he said out of nowhere

"Oh dont worry about it, you dont have to" I said

"I know, but I want to" he said

"Okay but do you live far from my house?" I said.

"No, I live around 5 minutes away from your house" he replied

"Oh, okay. Wait you moved from my house to another house that's just like 5 minutes away from your old house?" I asked

"Yea, my mom wanted a change because she has lived there since she was younger so she decided to move to another house. She really liked the neighborhood and there was a house on sale close by so we moved there" he explained.

I nodded my head to show that I understood what he was saying. As soon as we got there, we went to the arcade and played there for about three hours wasting our money on games. It was about 8:30 when we left the arcade and started walking around. We were walking around the neighborhood for about half an hour now and were were talking about our lives. He is a really nice guy and also cute, but that's just a bonus. As we kept talking we started walking toward the beach and started walking on the sand so I took off my sandals, we started getting closer to the water and as we walked a little bit in the water he kicked the water and it splashed me. I decided to splash him back and then we ended up having a whole water fight, we stopped when we noticed people start staring at us and I heard a couple people say "Awww", when they said that I felt my face get red. We started walking back to my house. When we got to my porch he asked me if he could have my number. Obviously I said yes, so I gave him my number and he gave me his. We both said goodbye and I walked inside the house.

"Where have you been and who is that boy you were talking to?" My mom said

"I was walking around the town and thats Chris, he showed me around" I explained

"Who's Chris?" my mom asked

"Someone I met while I was walking to the boardwalk" I said

"Was he a stranger?" she asked

"No he wasn't a stranger mom" I said

"Okay, good because you know to never talk to strangers" she said

"Yes I do know mom, I would never talk to a stranger" I said

"Okay well go to bed now its late" she said

"Okay, im tired anyway" I said

"Okay, goodnight honey" she said

"Goodnight mom" I said back

I started walking up the stairs to my room but before I got in my room my brother called my name. I started walking over to his room and entered and sat down on his bed."Who were you talking to?" Daniel said.

"A guy named Chris" I said

"You like him!" Daniel exclaimed

"maybe" I said quietly

"I heard that" Daniel exclaimed

"Fine, I like him okay? Just stop it" I said as I walked out of the room.

I Like Him.
