***Amber's point of view***

It was around 1:00 when I had finally finished all my work. I was new but it was very important that I got all my work done and made a good impressions with the teachers. I understand that this wouldn't make me very popular with the students within the school but it was better that I stayed focused on my work.

I picked out my satchel from the pile of handbags underneath my bed and looked around for the items I would probably need. My room was very organised and tidy so I knew exactly where everything should be kept. I wasn't usually that tidy but since moving it was time for a clean slate. I was going to forget everything that had already happened in the past and become a new and improved Amber. I could have a tidy room, get great grades and maybe even the guy of my dreams? Though at that moment I was quite sure that all of that would happen.  I packed my old nokia, pocket organiser and purse, putting them all neatly within my bag.

"Mum!" I shouted downstairs

no answer. i ran downstairs and slid into the kitchen.

"Mum! I'm going out!" I shouted louder.

"ok" She finally answered.

The voice was coming from the study. But that didn't surprise me one bit. Mum was always working, since dad died more then ever. it had been a hard past couple of years but mum was sure we could make it through. It did involve moving and mum working more than ever, but we have been ok. In the past mum and I would sit together and read or go  shopping, it wasn't much but we were together and having fun. These days, I'm on my own and having barely any friends here didn't help one bit.

I headed out of the door jumping round the stones of the path, my long hair streaming along behind me. I power walked down the street to the main road and spent my time enjoying myself as I was able to walk at my own pace through into town.

I started my shopping, even though by the time I got there it wasn't as enjoyable as I thought. I wanted to pick up a few casual tops but sadly nothing here seemed to suit me. I just looked like I stuck out like a sore thumb. I wasn't anything special in this school, probably counted as a nerd now I'd finished my work but i didn't want to be. I wanted to be normal and fit in with all the other children. No look there, I'd already almost stolen someone elses locker. That day was weird.

I bought a couple of tops which didn't seem as dressy and headed to the stationary shop in the crner. It wasn't very big but stationary and crafts were my favourite things to buy. I popped in and could have spent hours looking at all the notebooks and pens. I couldn't help it but ended up buying a sketch pad and some new pencils before packing up and heading home.

It was then that on the way home I spotted a store i'd never seen before. It was only small but looks comfy and cosy inside. I walked in a noticed a certain person sat near the window. He was slightly pale with blonde slightly floppy hair and was slipping on a milkshake. I wasn't quite keen on milkshakes myself but I was very curious about this guy and wanted to find out more. Plus, I couldn't quite sit there and speak to him without a reason to be here right?

So I made it my mission to speak to him. I may be nerdy and weird sometimes, but I could do this. I'd spoken to guys before, but they'd always been more like friends rather then anything else. I went over to the counter, constantly looking over my shoulder to make sure her hasn't seen me but his mind always seemed to be on something else.

"Hello?" I looked up and saw the guy at the counted staring at me.

"Oh sorry!" I said, going red "I'll have a strawberry milkshake"

I picked it up and walked over to an empty table. I wanted to go speak to him but I didn't quite have the guts yet. I just simply sat and watched him. He was looking out of the window and seemed to have alot on his mind. Watching him was a strange thing to do, I admit that but it was calming just doing so. He kept flicking the his blonde hair away fro  his head, often taking a sip out of his milkshake. I stood up and walked towards him, thinking I could finally do it.
