Nightmare

I woke up to the sound of my own screams and I quickly sat upright on my bed as I try to slow down my breathing. I wasn't shocked to see things thing scattered and broken on the floor, and others still shaking from my powers. I hear a knock at my door and I quickly get up and walked to the door and opened it. When I opened it I came face to face with a very worried Lincoln. "Hey are you ok Skye?" asked Lincoln "I'm fine." I tried to say as calmly as I could. "Yeah then why is everything shaking?" Lincoln says "I'm trying to calm down, I'm sorry." I say worried, about other people I might hurt if I don't calm down. "Don't be sorry alright your still new to your powers just take a seat and I'll help you calm down." Lincoln says as we walk over to my bed and sit down. "I'm going to try something ok?" Lincoln asks seeking permission from me. "Yeah definitely do what ever you think you can do to help." I respond, he takes hold of both my hands in his and he sends a very nice and calm feeling throughout my body. Then soon enough the shaking stops relief washes over me like title wave. "Thank you so much Lincoln." I get up and hug him as tight as I can. "No problem Skye anytime, I'm here when ever you need me." We released our embrace but he's still holding my hands, sending waves of cool and calming electricity. "This feels amazing and so relaxing. I should probably let you get some more sleep, and thank you for coming to help." "Say no more I'm happy to help." Lincoln says as he puts a lose strand of hair behind my ear "Thanks Lincoln it means a lot." I say blushing "Go and try to get some more sleep" "You too." I say as he walks out the door and I slowly close it after he exits. I walk over to my bed and put the sheets over me and as I drift off into sleep I can only think about the way his hands felt on mine and the way it felt when he touched my face those are my only thoughts as I slowly drift into unconsciousness. I wake up yet again to a knock on my door. I get out of bed and walk towards my door and open it. The first thing I see is Jaiying with a smile planted on her face but I could also see the concern in her eyes. " Are you okay Skye, Lincoln told me what happened last night. How are you feeling?" "I'm much better thank you. I just had a nightmare then the next thing I knew I was screaming and my powers were on the fritz. I couldn't stop it or calm down. Luckily Lincoln came and helped me calm down and stop the shaking." "May I ask what this nightmare was about?" Jaiying asks kindly. Thinking back I sigh. "It was about me going back to S.H.I.E.L.D. we where having a happy reunion then after that I just lost control of my powers and I killed one of my friends and soon after that the rest of them hated me and then they were trying to kill me. Afterwards I end up killing them all and I just was dreaming about being the horrible monster I so desperately don't want to become." My eyes are wet with tears, streaming down my face and Jiaying comes closer  and hugs me. As I sob onto her shoulder she strokes the back of my head then I hear her say " Its going to be alright, I'll show you the way beautiful I'll help you learn to control your gift." Jiaying says kindly I reply by telling her "thank you mom." It felt different calling her that considering that I think of May as my mom too. " If you want we could work on some more training today." "That sounds great where do you want to meet?" I ask thinking I already now the answer. "At the clearing facing the mountains, as Lincoln says it's the best view in the house." "Yes it is a very magnificent view I'll meet you there, what time?" I ask "After lunch if that's okay with you." Jiaying says "Yep that's fine with me see you then." I say as we let go of each other and she heads out the door.
