Chapter 5: Out Of Here!

It was about mid way through the 4th quarter... And the game was tied to no surprise what so ever. As the other team had expected it to be easy, and thought that they did in fact have the win the bag.
Which was not the case what so ever, as now it was clear that they were in fact panicking. It was clear that they were not all too sure what to do now. As the plays that they did in fact have called had sort of just started to turn in to a mess all of the sudden.
I kind of just stood there, and I seemed to breathe in a little bit of a soft sigh to my self all of the sudden. As I kind of just nodded a little bit to my self all at once, at that. As it was a bit of a nod towards Pearce as well.
I was in fact trying to tell him to inbound the ball. Before we did in fact get a violation for it, as I could see that he was excited. As I knew that the football team at the school was not all that much better than the basketball team, never the less.
As no one at this school really seemed to take sports all too seriously very much to my surprise. Which I kind of felt like should not be the case what so ever, at that. But I also felt like I should not be thinking on those thoughts that so ever, when it was that we were in such a pivotal moment in the game, none the less.
They had just tossed the ball out of bounds, as the game was tied right now, and they were in fact freaking out a ton, at that. Which was not much better for our side, as it seemed like every one was restless. As it seemed like they too knew that we were so close to winning this game, none the less.
There was less than 2 minutes left, and the score was 82-82 right now. As it was any ones game right now of course. But we had the ball, and we also did in fact kind of have the upper hand, as they had not scored in the less few minutes, never the less.
I mean while, it seemed like, in the best way possible, as I knew that we were not a shooting team. We seemed to be shooting the lights out, as we were scoring on just about every other possession that we went up the court, none the less. A lot of them just so happening to be 3 pointers as well, which meant it was even better.
I kind of just seemed to get my mind, and I seemed to just start to get my focus off of all of the other thoughts that I had in fact even been thinking on long before now. As the ball then did in fact go right in to my hand, all at once, at that. And I just then did in fact begin to start to dribble it just a little bit all of the sudden, at that.
As just as it was that it had in fact seemed like I had in just seemed to do as such a thing like that all of the sudden, all at once. That was just when Pearce seemed to walk right past me, all at the exact same time too. I kind of put my hand out to stop him, as I felt like I had a plan on the last play of the game, at that.
As I remembered that Xavier had told me that I needed to do some thing out of the normal ways to show some light on me. And whilst now might not be the time, I felt like this would be the perfect chance. And I also felt like the other team would not expect it, just based off of how it was that I had in fact been playing, never the less.
As it was that Pearce seemed to stop him self, he then did in fact begin to look right on over towards me. And he just then did in fact seem to go right on ahead and nod on ahead over towards me, at that. As it was clear to me that he was in fact letting me know that he did in fact have his full attention on me right now, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just began to start to notice that such a thing like that was in fact true. That was just when I then did in fact seem to start to go right on ahead, at that. And I just then did in fact begin to start to speak to him a little bit quietly, at that. As he of course did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that I, as the team captain, did in fact feel like I even needed to say to him in the very first place any ways, at that.
"Pull a screen for me, and I am going to go to the rim for a lay up... The won't expect a thing..." I said to him, all at once, at that. As I kind of expected him to go against what it was that I had said, never the less. As I knew that he was the star on the football team, all at the exact same time too.
And he knew that I was not much of a scorer my self, all at the exact same time as well. Nor was I really the cool or the popular kid at the school, such as it was that Pearce was, none the less, all at the exact same time too. As I did my best to hide the expression of some sort of jealousy from off of my face at those thoughts, at that.
As in the end, I just then did in fact seem to just start to go right on ahead, all at once. And I just then did in fact seem to start to see him nod to me much to my surprise, at that. As he just then did in fact begin to start to speed him self up from the court, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact seen him do as such a thing, all at once. That was when I just then did in fact seem to start to see him, at that. As it was that he did in fact go to the spot that I needed him to be at, that way we could prepare for a screen, at that. As I kind of just let out a little bit of a soft sigh of some sort of relief, as I slowly passed the half court line, was about a second to spare, at that.
As I just then did in fact seem to start to go right on ahead, all at once, at that, none the less. And I just then did in fact begin to start to look on over to where it was that Xavier was in fact standing up at, on the side lines, at that. As I saw that my mother was right behind him with a very big smile on her face right now, never the less.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to look on over to Xavier how ever, all at once. I expected him to get ready to call a play for me, at that. But I was in fact surprised to notice that it was of course, that he simply just nodded to me, all at once. As it was clear that he was letting me know that he was putting his faith, and that he was in fact putting his trust on to me right now, never the less.
I was a little bit surprised by it, if it was that I was not going to lie to my self what so ever, at that. As in the end, I just then did in fact seem to start to let out a little bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at once. As I knew that I believed in my self right now as well. As I did in fact have a play called, and I did in fact have a play designed already, for just what it was that I was about to do, all at once, at that.
As it was that I did in fact seem to just start to get right up on the defender, all at once. That was when I got real close to him, as I prepared to set up the screen in which it was that he was not going to be expecting for sure right now, at that. As I saw that his eyes were wide, as it was that he was in fact staring at me right now.
As it was that I got up close to him, that was when he just then did in fact seem to force some words out of his mouth, all at once. As it seemed like he was in fact trying to intimidate me, all at the exact same time as well. Which of course, being so close to the guy right now, I was in fact forced to hear, and to listen as to just what ever the guy did in fact feel like he even needed to say to me right at this very moment in time too, at that.
"Come on tiny! Shoot the damn ball you little pussy!" He yelled to me, all at once, which of course. This was the game of basketball, and it was not some little kids game. The refs were not going to do a single thing about what the kid had in fact just said to me, all at once, at that.
I was in fact a little bit upset about it at first, all at once. But that was when I began to start to remember, all at the exact same time too. As to just some thing that it was that Xavier had in fact said to me not all too much longer ago, at that.
As he had warned me about people saying things to me whilst I was on the court, at that. As he knew that I did in fact have a bit of some anger issues, none the less. As he knew that it was in fact going to get in to my head, such as it was that it seemed like it was doing right now.
I kind of stopped my self how ever, all at once, at that. As I knew that I could not let those thoughts get the best of me right now. As I knew that it was, that I did in fact need to go through with just what it was that I had in fact even been planning on doing not all too much longer before now, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As I just then did in fact seem to start to get my mind, and I just then did in fact seem to start to get my focus off of all of the rest of those other thoughts that it was that I had in fact even been thinking on long before now. As I looked back at the kid, all at once, at that, never the less. As it was clear that he did in fact have a little bit of a guilty look on his face right now.
As if it was that I did in fact feel like I had to take my best guess. I would assume that was more than likely some thing the coach, or one of his team mates had told him to do. As it was clear that they wanted him to try to get in to my head. Which nearly worked of course, as well.
But I also knew that I was not going to let it do as such a thing like that, all at once, at that. As in the end, I just then did in fact seem to start to go right on ahead, all of the sudden. And I just then did in fact seem to start to breathe in a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to start to get my mind, and I did in fact need to start to get my focus off of all of the rest of those other thoughts, all at once, at that. That was just when I then did in fact seem to start to notice that all at once. Just as it was that I had in fact planned on doing not all too much longer before now, all at the exact same time too, at that. I did in fact just seem to start to notice that all at once, once again, at that.
That it was that Pearce did in fact seem to be heading right on over to me, all at once, at that. Which I did in fact do my best to ignore that, all at the exact same time too. So that it was that the guy that was in fact guarding me, all at once, did not expect a single thing.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to start to do as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too. That was just when I then did in fact begin to start to hear his team mates yell as a little bit of a warning to him. Just as any good team mate should do, that there was a screen being called.
As I just seemed to start to move around Pearce. I then did in fact hear what the other kid from the other team had to say. Just a little bit too late, sadly enough for him, at that.
"Watch out! They're calling a screen to your left!" He said to the kid, as the kid of course heard as to just what it was that he had said to him. But sadly enough for the poor kid, it was in fact a little bit too late for him, all at the exact same time too, as I saw him run right in to the big and strong Pearce, all at once, at that.
And he of course, did in fact fall right on to the ground, all at once, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I kind of just seemed to stand there, and I kind of just seemed to go right on past him, all at once, at that. As I expected the defender to lock on to me, all at once, at that.
But I was actually surprised to see that he went on to Pearce, as it was clear that he was more worried about leaving Pearce open right now, which was fair enough I suppose. As I kind of just seemed to roll my eyes a little bit, as I thought it was going to be an easy lane to the basket from there.
But that was of course until I noticed that the center for the other team right now, was in fact getting ready to block my other wise easy layup. As of course, Zaire, he just seemed to stand there still, as it was clear that he was lost right now. Which meant that he was practically guarding the both of us right now, if it was that I tried to dish it on over to Zaire.
I kind of just began to start to think quick, all at once, as I then began to start to think of a plan that came to my head, all at once. As I just then did in fact seem to start to go right on ahead, all at once, at that. And I just then did in fact seem to turn my head on over to the corner, all at once, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As I looked on over to one of the twins, all at once, as it was in fact Austin. Who I could tell was in fact being heavily guarded, all at the exact same time as well, at that. As there was no way I was going to get an open pass to him, and there was no way he was going to get an open shot even if he caught the pass as well.
That did not matter to me what so ever, as that did not stop my plans that it was that I did in fact have in mind, all at the exact same time too. As I kind of just seemed to start to yell to him, all at once, at that. Which did not matter if it was that he was in fact paying attention at all to me right now, as I just seemed to continue to speak on over to more or less my self, all at the exact same time as well, at that.
"Austin! Catch!" I yelled to him, all at once. As I saw that he had a confused look on his face as to just what it was that I was talking about. As it was clear that he was lost as to just why it was that I was talking about passing the ball to him right now.
Which I of course, once again, just did not seem to care about what so ever, all at once. As I turned the ball over to him, all at the exact same time too, letting go of my dribble, as if it was, that I was about to pass it to him. Which of course, I did not do, as there was no way he could score off of my pass what so ever.
But that did not matter, as it did in fact seem to throw the center off from the other team, all at the exact same time too, all at once. As he turned his head over to just where it was that Austin was at right now. As it was clear that he was worried that I was about to pass it to him for a wide open 3, all at the exact same time too.
How ever, just as it was that he had in fact got his eyes, and he had in fact just seemed to get his focus on that all of the sudden, all at once. That was when I just then did in fact seem to take my first step, and then I took my easy 2nd step past the guy, all at once. Which were the 2 steps that I was allowed to take with out dribble the ball, all at once, at that.
Still I was not close enough to get a lay up sadly, all at the exact same time too, as I thought about passing it to Zaire all of the sudden, all at once. As I knew that the center was about to get his mind, and he was about to get his focus back on to me, all at once. Now that it was that he had noticed that I was simply playing a little bit of a trick on him, all at the exact same time too, all at once.
How ever, I decided to not pass it to Zaire, who was still clearly lost as to just what it was that was going on. As I simply put the ball in 1 hand, as I was in fact leaning forward, as I was about 8 feet away from the basket right now, all at once. Still not close enough for a lay up sadly, I still did in fact toss the ball up in the air, all at once.
As I was simply tossing up a floater, which was a shot that I had rarely ever done before. As I knew that I had simply just done it in practice, as I had never done it in a game. Which of course meant that this could all go terribly wrong, as perhaps I might be able to snatch a rebound, all at the exact same time too.
But as I saw that the ball did in fact go right on up through the air, all at the exact same time too. That was when I just then did in fact seem to start to notice that all at once. That it did in fact not only hit right off of the right side of the back board, all at once.
But it just then did in fact go straight in to the net, all at once, at that. As I was in fact in just a bit of a state of shock right now, that I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should really even be doing right now, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I was not expecting the ball to go through the net so easily like that.
As I had my eyes wide for just a few seconds longer, all at the exact same time too. That was when I just then did in fact begin to start to hear one of my team mates yelling to the entire team, all at once. As it was clear that I was not the only one who was a little bit shocked as to just what it was that I had in fact even just done, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just began to start to realize that it was in fact Peter who was the last man on the court that was there right now. I just then did in fact begin to start to turn my head on over towards him, at that. And I just then did in fact seem to start to go right on ahead, all at the exact same time too, at that. And I did in fact seem to start to all of the sudden nod to him. As it was clear that I was in fact paying my full attention on to just what ever it was that Peter felt like he had to say to us all right now.
As it was that he had in fact just seemed to be running back up the court, all at once. It then began to start to wake my self up as to just what it was that was going on right now. As I knew that this was in fact the game of basketball after all, all at the exact same time too, all at once, at that.
As I kind of just seemed to start to realize that, all at once. Peter did in fact just seem to continue to yell towards the entire team, at that. As if it was that he was the team captain right now, all at the exact same time as well. As I did in fact just begin to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say right at this very moment in time too, once again, at that.
"Every one get back! We need to play Defense!" He yelled to us all, as I just then did in fact begin to start to see that our entire team did in fact begin to start to go back to get ready to play Defense, all at once, at that. As I just kind of seemed to stand there and stare my self, still a bit lost, and still a bit fixated on just what it was that I had in fact just done.
My team of course did in fact get back to play Defense, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I just then did in fact turn my head on to just what it was that was going on, on the other side of me, all at once. As I just then did in fact notice that the center that had messed up the play, as well as the point guard who also had as well. Did in fact seem to inbound the ball to the point guard, all at once, at that.
As it was that he had in fact just seemed to start to do as such a thing like that, all at once. That was when I noticed that the point guard was in fact just beginning to start to dribble the ball just a little bit, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I just then did in fact seem to start to go right on ahead, and I knew that this was my perfect chance, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As I saw that it was, that he was in fact of course, just beginning to start to go right on ahead, at that. And I just then did in fact seem to start to go right on ahead, all at once. As he turned his head back on to where it was that I was at.
I then reached in, and I snatched the ball from him, all at the exact same time too, all at once. Which the point guard was a little bit lost as to just what it was that I had done. But the center was not, what so ever, all at the exact same time too, all at once.
As he was a bit angry as to just what it was that was going on, all at the exact same time too, all at once. And he then all of the sudden began to start to sprint right on over to me, all at once, right as it was that I was in fact starting to get a little bit of some sort of control of the ball, all at once.
As I just then did in fact seem to start to do as such a thing like that, all at once, at that. I just then did in fact seem to start to go right on ahead, and I was expecting him to go on and reach for the ball out of my hand. But I was a little bit surprised to notice that he did some thing much different than all of that, once again.
As it was clear that the guy was a bit frustrated, and that he was in fact a little bit upset right now. He of course just slammed his entire body in to me, at full power. As he knocked me straight to the ground, as I did not stand a chance of holding my ground with the guy, at that.
As it was not a flip what so ever, as I just then did in fact fall back on to the ground, all at once, at that. As I made sure to let go of the ball, so that I could protect the back side of my head. As I did in fact seem to continue to fall straight down, all at once.
I hit the ground, but luckily protected my self before I hit the ground, as it did not hurt all too bad at all. As I kind of just let out a little bit of a soft sigh of some sort of relief to my self, all at once, at that. As I just then did in fact begin to start to hear the referee blow his whistle, all at once, clearly calling a foul on the play.
I was a little bit woozy as to just what it was that was even going on at first, if it was that I was not going to lie to my self either. But in the end, I just then did in fact seem to start to go on ahead and lift my self up, all at once. As I heard the ref yelling at the dude that was standing on top of me right now. Like it was that he felt big and tough for just what it was that he had just done.
I was in fact a little bit lost at first, all at the exact same time too. As I began to start to lift my self up, all at the exact same time as well. As I got my mind, and I got my focus and my attention on to the referee who was in fact yelling at the kid for just what it was that he had in fact even just done to me, never the less, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to stand there, and I had in fact just seemed to stare for a little bit of some time, all at once. That was just when I then did in fact begin to start to look at the not all too happy ref, all at once. And I heard him continue to yell at the kid who had in fact just done what it was that he had done to me. As I of course, just then, did in fact seem to start to listen as to just what it was that he did in fact feel like he even had to say to him, all at the exact same time as well, at that.
"Flagrant 2! Number 27, you're out of here!"
