They always ask,
They always seem so concerned,
They always irritate me,
They always knew something's up,
They always think they can help,
They always say they won't leave me,
Too late I got through
Their filthy facade,
Too sad to see,
Though
Too happy to know,
That they always thought
I'll recover because of
Their despicable white lies.-------•--------•---------•--------•--------•
"Hey, are you alright?" a stranger suddenly asks the girl sitting on a swing alone in the park.
Little did the stranger know what the problem is.....
"I'm fine mister..." The guy seemed skeptical at first but left the girl alone for he too had to be somewhere important.
"Go home and don't stay late okay? See ya and be careful!" then he left.
'I'd rather stay'
"No one's home anyway..." She stayed until the sun went down, even though she wanted to say a little longer she couldn't knowing she'll be in trouble with the police...
As per usual, the house is empty. One could hear a pin drop, It wasn't like this before.
Before when her real parents were still together.
Now she, unluckily, got some foster parents who travel a lot because of their jobs.
These foster parents of hers knew her past, well of course thanks to the old lady from the orphanage.
She gave a wary sigh but then shrugged it off before going to her room for another 'not-so-good' good night's sleep.
The next morning came pretty slow, well for someone who can't sleep.
When she woke up for the nth time because of the constant nightmares from the past, she finally gathered her head to go to the bathroom and freshen up for another day at school.
Upon arriving, her so called 'friends' ,more like 'I take pity on you so I'll be your friend', they greeted her with smiles so fake you'll notice it at first glance.
She simply ignored them, at first she thought they could be trusted but one day she overheard them talking about her behind her back.
For example, one of the girls said "I feel sorry for her, she doesn't talk much to us doesn't she?"
Or "I wish she would just say something about her, It's getting annoying how she ignores us whenever we ask her about her life then whenever we reassure her 'we wouldn't leave her' she doesn't seem to believe us! How unreasonable!"
She doesn't like them anymore, specifically no one in fact.
Every day she goes to school, then to the park, then to an empty house.
How joyous can her life get?
But today wasn't any other day, Today is the day were her foster parents come home.
'How exciting...' she thought without humor.
After school she went directly to their house.
And upon their arrival they gave her news that made her miserable than she already is....
"Sweetie! welcome home, your dad and I have something to tell you"
She just raised an eyebrow in question.
"Your having a baby sister or brother! well we don't know yet but still! your going to be a big sis!" Her mom was so thrilled so as her dad but all she could think was 'I'm not enough, never enough for them....I'm not the good child they ever wanted....I'm never worth it to be happy...'
She smiled so delicately to her parents before excusing herself.
"Sleep well sweetie, goodnight" her mom still had that blinding smile together with her dad, It was sad for her....
When the night grew quiet and still, she awoke.......
'I'm just a worthless child....I'm not worth the love.....I'm just no one......No one worthy to be loved.....'
Thoughts swarmed her head, Words told by non other than her real parents...
Hurtful and Degrading words thrown to her poor mind before...
Tears flowed freely now... She sobbed quietly as if she were going to be caught...
She couldn't stand it no more,
Why pretend when she can see?
'I'll never believe you anymore, you liars'
.................................
-flashback-
She was abused...
By her parents....
She was never supposed to be born...
She wasn't supposed to be living....
It is not her fault to be here...
She never chose to live in this life...
'So why?'
They made her suffer...
Are you happy now?
Real parents/not stop making empty promises that you can never keep.
-end of flashback-
.....................................The next morning her body was found, her mom broke into sobs...
Though the dad simply mumbled whilst comforting his wife.......
"Took you long enough"......
