Regie thought being the bigger person was utter bullshit. Why put yourself out there like that, why confront a situation when you could avoid it altogether. Which is exactly what he did with his little spat with Kane. Sure he found out later on that Kane had cut himself, but he still didn't find any problem with what he did, he had no idea what the towel was for. Kane was totally in the wrong for this. Why couldn't he man up and say he was hurt, he certainly didn't deserve the outburst from Kane. The others tried and failed to get him to reconcile with Kane first. He was over this matter and if Kane wasn't then that was his problem.
Regie's downfall would be his pride. He was absolutely certain Kane would have come to him by now, with his head dropped low, staring at his feet, messing with his shirt (even if Regie found it cute he would sooner take it to his grave than tell anyone) which he always did when he said sorry. Kane never bothered in fact it was like he couldn't be bothered with any of them anymore except for Sebastian. Everywhere you looked Kane was glued to Seb's side and vice versa.
Regie was starting to miss Kane more than he thought. If you look at it from an outsider's point of view it may look like Regie pitied Kane whenever he did his Tik Toks with him since he was the only one ever in them. He never clarified, he would never voice that he actually enjoyed Kane's company. Everything about Kane was wholesome from the way he would get excited about animes to his childish antics. Being around Kane was like being back on the playground in elementary school, no worries having the time of your life with the kid you instantly became friends with.
If Regie missed Kane why couldn't he push his pride aside and go to him. Maybe it was the way Kane looked at him, every time they faced each other Kane looked like a wounded puppy. The smile Regie adored was no longer there, maybe that's why he couldn't pluck up the courage to go to Kane first. Thinking he had enough time to right his wrong. (How horribly wrong he was.)
The members pleaded and tried everything to coax Kane into going to Regie, both of them wouldn't speak a word to each other unless the camera was on. It was hard for Kane looking at their hopeful faces, of course they thought Kane would do it. He's always done it, but this time with his new found respect for himself and the eager look from Sebastian he denied them. They got more persistent borderline mean, spewing spiteful words at him.
"It's basically your fault."
"Yeah, you could've told us you were hurt."
"Cmon Kane, you know how Regie is."
'How Regie is? Why does Regie get a pass just because he's an asshole? Why do I again have to be the bigger person in this? Do my feelings not matter.. Why do I have to go and stroke Regie's ego?' Kane was internally done with this, almost done with his members. Sitting here being berated by everyone wasn't doing any good for Kane's emotions; he was a couple of seconds away from breaking down. Ready to give in just to get them to leave him alone.
As if on cue Kane's saving grace spoke up from him. "He said no guys, and honestly why does Kane always have to be the one to apologize first." Sebastian gave no one the chance to continue speaking. He stood up and walked off, dragging Kane with him. Leaving the rest gaping.
Even if Kane's whole world were to be crashing around him, he wouldn't mind it as long as he had Sebastian by his side. His world wasn't imploding, it was messy to say the least. The tension with him and the others minus Oliver was uncomfortable. After he lashed out at Regie, and both refused to be the bigger person.
