*phone rings*

who is calling me at 4 am? dude i fell asleep right after i got home after dropping y/n at her house. i slept so good but this interrupted my sleep..

i guess i'll pick up the phone since it must be important, it's 4 am. wait it's kuroo?

"hello?" i say into the phone softly

"kenma let's go on a morning run before school!!!" he says excited.

"uh.. it's literally 4 am — kuroo, school starts at 8 am."

"so?? you need your daily exercise"

i'm so fucking tired. i look outside my window and it's pitch black.

"dude, you can't even see anything outside" i say while rubbing my eyes.

"too bad, i'm already outside"

"wha—" he hangs up. "hello?!!!!"

i quickly grab some shoes and put them on and go out through my window. of course, i see kuroo.

"kuroo you better not leave me behind"

"run fast then"

we finally stop right at his house from running. dude i'm literally sweating so much.

"bro—" i start speaking while panting, "it is too early to be running"

"yeah well i had to get some stuff off my mind"

"could of done that alone.."

"woww you wanted me to run all alone?" he says in a sad voice.

"yah"

"anyways uh sorry about the party— mostly about sophia being a little mean"

"a little?" i say trying not to remember much about the party. "you need to control her"

i really didn't like how sophia talked to y/n. because y/n is honestly really sweet. she shouldn't be treated like that.

"i'll try to talk to her"

"you better"

7 am and me and kuroo are just now driving to school. all morning we spent talking since we had not catched up in a while. but finally realized, we have school. sadly.

"i heard sophia got moved to your class?" i ask kuroo, since everyone talked about sophia at school. not really good things but everyone knew her at this point. she was always the talk of the school.

"uh yeah"

"talk to her then" i say as i see out the window that we are at the school already.

"kenmaaa!" i hear y/n say as she walks towards me and kuroo.

"what's uppp" kuroo says.

"hey" i say back.

"ken, wanna play minecraft later?" sophia asks me.

"sure" i say while smiling. i loved minecraft.

"i have to get to class or i'll be late" kuroo says while waving goodbye to us as he walks into another hallway.

me and y/n both wave goodbye back.

"don't you have the same class as kuroo?" i say as i look at y/n.

"uh yeah but i'll catch up in a bit!" she says while looking down.

she really didn't like her classes, or school at all. i didn't either though.

"wanna smoke?" she suddenly asks me.

"uh..  the school day barely started—" i start saying but she cuts me off.

"so? — ur lame" she says as she walks into the girls locker room.

"i wanna go with you—" as soon as i say that y/n turns around with a smile.

"i knew you would, come on!"

the real reason i wanted him to smoke with me was because i had to tell him something. over these past days i realized, i liked kenma. like a lot actually. he was really different then other boys and he also made me feel loved. i used to like him last year too but i soon realized he only saw me as a friend. but i feel like he's been treating me differently lately. like in a love way? and the moments we have been having is like what couples do. like everything recently with me and kenma seems, romantic? it's just that we try to hide it by seeing we're "just friends" but obviously we are more than that. we both know it too.

so it's better i get rejected now, then never tell him how i feel.

i hold his hand and bring him to the girls locker room. "no one comes here during class time." i then go to the back and look at the exit door.

"we should maybe not do this.." kenma says.

sometimes kenma can be a little too much of following the rules.

"pleasee — it will be fun!"

"fineee" he says as he starts opening the door. and then i expect him to go but he stands there while opening the door.

then i realize, he's opening the door for me.

"woah such a gentleman" i say teasingly as i go through the door.

"shut up"

"ok let's go to the park right around the corner!" i say excitedly.

"alright"

we get to the park and it was empty. probably because it was monday at 8 am.

we go up a hill and sit down.

i pull out a cigarette and look at kenma. "do you have a —"

"yes i have a lighter" kenma says as he's used to this already. he pulls out a lighter from his pocket. and lights up my cigarette.

"thanks" i say while looking at him, "uhm kenma i have something to ask you.."

k; "go ahead"

y/n; "i was thinking about our friendship"

k; "mhm?"

a long pause.

k; "why were you thinking about us?"

y/n; "me and you are kinda more than friends — don't you think?"

kenma then becomes silent and looks at me. all of a sudden i turn red.

this is so embarrassing. he probably thinks i'm delusional. "forget it."

"i mean it's pretty obvious" he says as i can tell he's blushing a little.
