Chapter 1: Smiley

Rain was softly pouring, the smell lingered the air. Y/N loved rain, it was always so nice to watch and smell. Especially at night, that's the best time to listen to rain! Y/N looked out the train window, they put their hands in their pockets as they let out a small sigh. They closed their eyes and thought about the new town they were going to. Y/Ns parents sent them off to this town because they were "ruining" their reputation in the other town they were in, Y/Ns parents care a lot about reputation and money, so they couldn't risk all that because you decided to be a little rebel! So they sent you off to this town and told you to build a good reputation, once you did that they would come back for you. Until then you are going to be staying in this town. Y/N was a little nervous, they knew no one there! No family members, no friends, no family friends. Their parents bought them a house and wrote the address down for them on a piece of paper. They told them that they filled the fridge with food, a wardrobe full of clothes and shoes, and much more! I guess this was good, a fresh start. Fresh starts are always good. Y/N opened their eyes, they felt a vibration coming from their bag. Y/N opened up their bag and took out their phone. "Hello?" "Hey honey! I just wanted to make sure you didn't die!" "Gee thanks" "You're welcome! Anyways you better do good in this town and don't screw up or else me and your father are sending you to boarding school" "Aren't I a little too old for that? I'm turning 17 soon" "We'll make it work!..Anyways we'll call you once a month, only call us if you really need something, other then that don't even bother wasting our time" "Good to know that I have a strong support system" "Bye!" Beep. Y/N put their phone back in their bag. Just in time because the train stopped. Y/N grabbed their bag and got up,they walked down the aisle and off the train. "An umbrella would have been nice" Y/N muttered as they took out the piece of paper containing their address out their pocket. Rain started getting on it, making it smudged. Y/N went up to the closest person they could see and tapped them on the shoulder. "Hi uh..do you know where this is?" The person looked at Y/N and looked at the address on the paper, not really concerned about a stranger knowing their address. "Oh..how nice! I love that house it is so lovely! Did you just move here?" The person asked. "Yes I did" Y/N said, kind of irritated they didn't answer their question. "Where is it?" They asked once again. "Oh I'm sorry, once you get out the train station, you make a left and go down the street, keep going down then make a left, then go straight, another left then go down and make a right!" The person said. Y/N nodded. "Thank you" they walked away. "Left..straight..left..down..left? Or wait was it..straight..left..left..up? Great now I'm confused" Y/N groaned. Y/N walked out the train station, they made a left and walked down the street. They looked around at some shops, there was a candy shop, a market, and a few other stores. This town seemed interesting and also kinda boring at the same time. Maybe the people here are better then how the town looks. Y/N watched cars drive past them, they looked back at the sidewalk. Y/N started thinking about their new life, how were they going to act towards people? I guess it depends on the first person they meet. "I'm not even going to listen to what mom says, I'm just going to act however I want!.. Because I'm cool" Y/N grinned, they kicked a rock. "I'm going to be the coolest person in this dumb little town! Uhm.. what'd that person say? I think I have to make a..right?" Y/N made a right and went down the street. The rain was starting to pour a little faster and heavier. Y/N looked up at the sky as rain got on their face, they looked back down and wiped their face. They started to pick up the pace wanting to go home as fast as possible. Y/N rushed down the street and made another right, they looked around. "Shit..did I go the wrong way?" They kept walking, Y/N stumbled upon a little playground, it was in-between some houses, they were pretty sure it was a public playground. Y/N headed over to the playground, they went up the stairs and went over to the tunnel slide. Y/N went inside and let out a sigh. "Stupid rain.." "Someone's in here" "Who is it?" "I dunno go check" Y/N heard voices, they tried looking around the tunnel corner to see who it was, a hand came from around the corner and grabbed Y/N by the leg. "Hey-" Someone pulled someone down the slide. "What the hell!!" Y/N shouted, they crashed into someone. They looked at them, it was a guy with dark blond hair, a dark blue cap that was backwards, green jackets, blue pants, and black shoes. He had a big smile on his face. "I caught a cutie" he grinned. Y/N smacked his hand. "Don't touch me! What the hell is wrong with you" Y/N hissed they looked at the other two guys, one guy had brown hair, the same dark blue cap except it was facing forward, dark orange and yellow sweater, black pants and shoes. The last guy wore a grey beanie, dark blue button up, greyish blue pants, and black shoes. "What's your deal?" The brown haired guy said. "Nothing.. I'm just trying to wait out the rain, not trying to get grabbed up" Y/N glared at the blond guy. "I was only messing around" Blond guy smiled. "Whatever..can you guys help me out, it's the least you can do" Y/N said, they took out the paper with their address on it and handed it to the blondie, the brown haired guy snatched the paper from him and looked it, he grinned. "You went the wrong way, idiot" "Then show me the right way, dumbass" Y/N snapped. "Woah you're feisty" He grinned the proceeded to rio the paper in half, he ripped it in tiny pieces. "Roy..!" Blondie gasped. "What?" Roy smiled. "I guess you're not going home" he looked at Y/N. "Are you fucking serious?" Y/N pushed Roy out the slide, he fell on his butt. Y/N got out the slide. "Apologize!" "Make me!" Roy got up and shoved Y/N. Y/N grabbed Roy, they smiled a little bit. "Y'know what..I won't bother, I don't want to ruin your cute little face. Besides it's probably all you got" Y/N put their hand on Roy's face and shoved him, Roy fell to the ground. Y/N turned back to the slide and put their head in it. "Hey you, smiley. You're taking me home" "M..Me?" Blondie pointed to himself. "I'm talking to Casper the fucking ghost" Y/N took their head out the slide. Blondie got out the slide. "O..Okay! I can take you home" he nodded. "Great, it was nice meeting you Dickwad and.." Y/N looked at the beanie guy in the slide. "Beanie" Y/N started to walk, Blondie followed. "Uhm.. I'm Robert by the way! I'm sorry about pulling you down the slide, I didn't think it'd make you upset" Y/N looked Robert up and down. "I'm Y/N..and I guess I forgive you" "Great! Where'd you move from?" Robert smiled at Y/N. Y/N looked at him, they couldn't help but smile a little bit. "Rushington" "That fancy town?" Robert tilted his head. "I guess you could call it that" Y/N shrugged. "Cool! Well I'm glad you're here! I hope you enjoy it here in Starstruck" Robert put a hand on Y/Ns shoulder. Y/N looked at him and brushed his hand off their shoulder. "Yeah. Thanks, smiley" they put their hands in their pockets. "Maybe I could show you around school? I wouldn't mind-" "Yeah no thanks, I'm sure I'll be fine by myself" Y/N said. "Oh..okay!  Well if you need any help you could ask me" Robert smiled. "I'd rather not, this is most likely going to be the last time we interact" Y/N looked at Robert. "Well I sure hope not, I'd love to talk to you some more" Robert grinned. "What?.." Y/N gave him a puzzled look. "I'd love to get to know you! You seem lovely" Robert said. Y/N chuckled lightly. "You're joking?" "No, why would I be? Anyways..that's your house, good thing it wasn't too far" Robert pointed to a dark grey house, it was a decent 2 story house. "Oh Uhm..thanks" Y/N said, still stuck on what he just said. "Anytime! Here" Robert took out a memo pad and a pen and started scribbling something down, Y/N watched. "Do you always carry that around?" "Yeah! Just in case I run into a cutie, like you" Robert tore the piece of paper off the pad and handed it to Y/N, Y/N blushed a little. The paper contained his phone number, a little heart was added at the end of it. "See you later, Sunshine" Robert waved bye and walked away. Y/N stood there sort of stunned, they looked at the paper in their hand, rain drops started getting on it making it smudged. Y/N put it in their pocket and walked over to their house, they zipped open their bag and took out a key, they unlocked their house and opened the door, they walked in and closed the door behind them. They were immediately greeted with a meow, A cat stood in front of the door, it started to purr and go over to Y/N and rub itself against them. Y/N gently pet the cat. "I guess my parents gave you to me as a gift, huh?" The cat meowed. "I'll name you C/N (Cats name)" Y/N set their bag down, they walked over to the stairs and went up them, C/N followed. Y/N went down a hallway and opened a door on the right. It was the bathroom, it was very nice. Y/N closed the door and walked down the room all the way down the hallway, they opened that door. "I'm guessing this is my room" It was in fact Y/Ns room, how nice of your parents to decorate it in your style.
