A/N:

Hey! I know I haven't updated in a while, but my exams are finished and I have left compulsory education!

I now have 11 weeks with no school until I start college in September, so I wanted to get this filler chapter out to start fresh for the summer holidays.

I hope you enjoy! <3

7 years later:

The lavender haired girl sat on the worn-down couch in the basement of the last drop. She was currently trying to comfort a distressed Powder who had squashed herself into the corner of the same couch. Vi and Mylo were at each other's throats yelling about the tip Vi had received from an anonymous person.

Well, not exactly about the tip itself, but about whether Powder should come along on the job or not. As usual, Mylo was making dramatic hand gestures while raising his voice trying to express his distaste in Powder accompanying them while Vi was simply yelling back. Rosabella looked at Claggor desperately, hoping for him to put a stop to the racket. However, he had his nose stuck in a book while he waited for it all to be over so he was of no help.

By this point Powder was near tears as Mylo started getting personal with his comments, which only aggravated Vi more which resulted in another yelling match.

"Vi! We can't take Powder with us." Mylo shrieked, it was clear he was beginning to lose this battle. "She's a Jinx!!"

Vi was starting to lose what little self-control she held on to as she walked up to Mylo. This was when Rose knew she had to intervene; if things escalated anymore, customers upstairs would hear the racket and Vander wouldn't be happy. With one last pat on Powder's shoulder, Rose jumped up from the couch, pulling her now long hair into a pony as if she was about to get involved in a huge boxing match.

Rose walked up to Vi, holding her arm back which Vi had raised to punch Mylo. "Violet, I know you want to punch Mylo right now. We all do, trust me." Rose pulled Vi's arm down to her side giving her a pat on the shoulder and rolling her eyes at Mylo's usual scoff. She turned around and walked up to Mylo, looking him dead in the eye. "Powder's coming on the mission, and there is nothing. And I mean nothing, that you can do about it."

After achieving her desired effect, Rose walked back to the couch Powder was sitting on, "We should clean this up before Vander comes down." She leaned forward, holding Powder's hand and helping her off the couch, "and get ready for bed too. We leave first thing in the morning." With one smirk at Vi, which was lazily returned, Rose took Powder to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Tomorrow was going to be a big day.

The next morning, the five of them were pumped and ready to leave. Grabbing the last few things such as the backpack, some water, and food to eat on the journey over to Piltover. Everyone radiated positive energy and the room was filled with tense excitement. But there was a certain Lavender haired girl whose energy did not match the others, and naturally, Vi noticed.

After ushering everyone out of the Last Drop, telling them to wait while her and Rose grab a few more last-minute bits she returned to the silver eyed girl, a concerned look taking over her face.

"Hey Cupcake, you okay?" Vi asked, placing her hand reassuringly on her best friend's shoulder. Rose looked up at Vi, a painful smile gracing her lips.

"I'm fine, I just haven't been back since I ran away. I've always known I would be back one day, but..." Rose sighed, trying to figure out her next words as Vi waited patiently. "My parents would be so.. disappointed. I didn't expect to go back to Piltover, and be seen as the 'opposite side'."

Rose felt conflicted. The Lanes was her home now, this was where she had grown up and matured into a teenager from her child years. She had so many amazing memories here and she had a family who actually cared for her. But at the same time, Piltover was where she was born, yes, her parents had strange ways of showing they cared, but they were still her parents and for that fact alone; she would never stop loving them. Going back to Piltover brought back a lot of heavy baggage her 8-year-old self-had left behind when she came back down to the Lanes. She felt like she was betraying her parents and everyone she had ever spoken to, going to Piltover just to steal from them. But she couldn't tell Vi that, she was doing this for her family and her family is much more important.

"Everything will be alright, if it gets too much for you just tell me, and I'll be there to help you." Vi's tone was comforting, soothing. She pulled Rose in for a hug. Rose had to admit, she was always grateful for Vi, she helped in whatever way she could, even if it cost her an arm or a leg.

Rose pulled back from the hug and smiled at Vi warmly. "Thank you, Vee."

Vi smiled back and pecked the small love-heart shaped birthmark under Rose's right eye, something she always did before jobs to give them all 'good luck.'

Rose laughed as Vi turned away grabbing the backpack with one hand and taking Rose's hand in her free one. The pink and lavender duo started walking towards the door where the others were waiting.

"You ready?" Vi asked

"Yeah," Rose replied. "Let's go to Piltover."
