"....Come with me."
"...Where...where are we going..?"
"...Somewhere... unknown..."
Whilst Kaito opens a small trapdoor from beneath the tall, lush grass. Mesmerized, Tamaki held his breath in anticipation and amazement; as he gazes to what seem like a doorway to another dimension. Mixed feelings at most, yet he can't help but feel like he's being pulled in the mystery that lies within the unknown, familiar pathway.
"...Somewhere... Far away..."
Tamaki looked around the place. Green vines hanging off the tall and sturdy trees. Grass like moss clumps like packs of cotton on the stone pavement, as if it was erasing the only path that guides whoever steps foot. Adorned with different colored mushrooms and insects in different sizes, he looks around the place, searching and gazing at every detail that his sunset colored eyes could see just so he could be able to point out any air of familiarity. To no avail, nothing rings a bell... he feels like he's close to home.
Hmm, Scratch that. He feels like he's already home.
The fresh breeze of the moist smell of soil wafting through the air, to the sweet and frail rustling of leaves. If nature did have a language, then it's a clear message of a warm welcome; Home Sweet Home.
As his eyes was immersed in everything he sees, he made a slight pause to look back to where they are. and he can't see if they're far enough;
Is it just covered by the fuzzy orange and green colored leaves?
Did the vines just engulfed the entrance as soon as they entered?
Maybe he didn't notice that they were already walking far enough?
Or...
"......"
...There's another reason he thought of, which he believes to be impossible... yet his innocent and inquisitive mind happens to consider:
Maybe the "exit" just doesn't exist anymore.
Maybe it's just a one time entrance, once you're in, you can't go back out anymore because the entrance will close from the outside.
He felt a bit anxious as his thoughts started to overflow like a waterfall. But in turn, Kaito pulled him out before he drowns in it; entwining both their hands in an embrace of security and warmth.
He continued to drag him to reality as he leads his lover, Tamaki, deeper into the wild.
"Somewhere....where it's just the two of us."
They faded deeper into the wild; never looking back, without any pauses of doubt and hesitation...
...As if they're making their escape from everyone.
Escaping from the world,
And from reality itself.
Perhaps, it can be a called as a "world of their own",
....If only the pathway didn't dissipate along with their presence, erasing the traces of its existence.
