Buzz Lightyear was now fully convinced that he did not like Daniels. The second the man had left, he jumped up from where he'd been lying on the floor. He and Woody had gone lifeless when Daniels had entered. They knew there was no reason to do so, as the man clearly knew they were alive; they simply didn't want to speak to him.

"Well, he was pleasant." Woody said sarcastically as he stood up and dusted himself off.

"Could someone please explain what a tourist trap is?" Moana asked. "I didn't understand half of what he was saying."

"That makes two of us." Nala agreed, finally speaking.

"It's a business that tricks people." McQueen explained, his disgust obvious. "He wants to show us off, like trophies. What even is Daniels, anyway? I've never seen anything like him."

"He's a human, Mr. McQueen." Jack answered. "Much like Miss Moana. Although I must say I like her much more than I like Daniels."

"Thanks, Jack." Moana replied.

"I hate to interrupt," Buzz said, "but we need to start thinking of an escape plan."

"Agreed." McQueen responded from his cell. "Does anyone have any ideas?"

"Buzz!" Woody was by their cell door. He was on his stomach, reaching under the bars as far as he could. By the time the space ranger had gotten to his friend's side, the cowboy had gotten up, holding something in his left hand.

It was a paperclip. Buzz instantly knew what his friend was planning, and patted him on the back. "Good work, Woody."

He took the paper clip and bent it until it could be used as a lock pick. Then, he had Woody stand on his shoulders so the cowboy could pick the lock on their doors. Unfortunately, this was easier said than done. The lock was very high on the door, and the toys were simply too short to reach it.

"Darn it!" Buzz shouted in frustration as Woody jumped off of his shoulders. The cowboy shared his frustration, and stuck the bent clip in his holster.

"What's wrong?" Jack asked.

"A paper clip fell out of Daniels' pocket." Woody explained. "We tried to use it to pick the lock, but it's too high up."

"Really?" Jack sounded surprised. "I can reach mine easily."

Buzz's head shot up, and he looked at the wall between their cells. There was another gap in the wall next to Jack's cell. He turned to his friend, who had already grasped the plan. They got the sack and began to attach it to Woody's pull string.

"Jack, listen to me!" Buzz called out as he worked. "We're going to come over the wall!"

"Once we're over there," Woody added, securing his pull string, "I need you to lift me up so I can pick the lock!"

"Alright, gentlemen." Jack sounded eager. "Ready when you are!"

Using the same method as before, the two toys climbed the wall. Unfortunately, this time they were a little too eager, and lost their balance once they'd made it up. They fell, and might've hit the floor if not for someone catching them in the nick of time.

"Thank you–" Woody started to say before he and Buzz burst out screaming. They were being held by a very tall, very terrifying skeleton!

"Calm down, my friends, it's only me!" The skeleton grinned.

"Jack?" Woody asked, clearly surprised. Buzz, like the cowboy, recognized Jack's voice. The Pumpkin King had told them, of course, what he was. Still, seeing him in person...

"Sorry," Buzz apologized, "but you're really scary in person."

"That's very nice of you, but this is hardly the time for compliments." He set Buzz on the floor, and carried Woody over to the cell door. The lock was in the same place as the one in their cell, but Jack could reach it easily. Woody took the lock pick out of his holster, and had the door open in less than a minute.

"Good job!" Moana cheered. She then stared at the toys for a moment. "So that's what you look like."

"Nice to see you, too!" Woody greeted her as Jack set him down. Due to the situation, neither toy felt it was necessary to freeze for Moana.

"What's the plan?" Nala asked as Woody (held again by Jack) unlocked Moana's cell.

Buzz put his finger on his chin and thought for a moment. "I believe we should leave this building, and try to find out where we are. We should also try to get help from whoever we can."

"All of us?" Jack looked concerned.

"What's wrong?" Woody asked as Moana's door swung open.

"If this place, wherever it is, is full of humans, then we can't all go. We'll be too easily noticed."

"He's right." Nala added. "Only a few of us should go. Buzz, Woody, you two are the smallest, and the least noticeable. You should go. But someone should go with you."

"I'll do it." Moana volunteered. "If this place is full of humans, then I have the best chance at blending in."

"It's settled then." Jack walked back into his cell, and locked it.

"If Daniels comes back while you're gone," McQueen called from his cell, "we'll distract him."

"Here." Woody handed the lock pick to Jack. "Keep this until we get back."

"I will. Good luck, my friends."

"Come on, guys." Moana gestured for Woody and Buzz to follow her. The hallway door was unlocked; clearly Daniels hadn't thought they'd manage to escape.

Buzz turned to look down the hall. Nala and Jack were staring after them. He felt a knot inside. He barely knew them, yet they were trusting him enough to put their freedom into his, Woody's, and Moana's hands. He couldn't let them down.

"We'll get help," he promised, "and we'll be back as soon as we can." With that, he darted through the hall door as it swung shut.
