The court began and my brother was brought to the court while his hands were tied. Radha ma cried seeing her 5yrs old son's condition and adhirath baba consoled her with tear filled eyes. While others who came with us had fearful and concern filled expressions. Looking at my families condition my blood boiled but I somehow controlled my self and payed attention
Right now I have to peacefully free him.
Some ministers and kuru family frowned seeing a kid who is barely five years being brought to court. The king's aid who's beside him told him of the happenings of the court. His name if I remember correctly is Sanjay. The king asked the obvious question which was everyone's mind.
"Vidura,why is a child who is less than 10 yrs old being brought to the court tied up in ropes. What crime could this little one have done warrant to such cruelty."
Things were looking a bit on my brother's side seeing the king's reaction. Vidura answered the king's question.
"Even I don't know this maharaj. But I do know that the one who captured and brought this child here is minister Dansh."

Of all the people who could have brought him , why did Dansh was the one who brought him!?
Dansh is someone who not only follows casteism very strictly but also someone who has a lot of say among the ministers. Though he was never mentioned in Mahabharata. But to describe him , it would be easiest to say he's another shakuni who plays on Pandavas side. He's someone with a brilliant political mind and supports Pandavas but again just like shakuni he manipulates everyone for his own interests.
I can already see things turning on me.
Dansh stood up. Faced maharaj and told him his reasons for his actions.
"Maharaj , a few days ago when I was visiting each community for a simple routine survey. I was approached by a man who told that this child was reading the sacred vedas and shastras. Not only he's reading them but also teaching to other children around his age. Which goes against the rules of this kingdom. Hence ,why after making sure of his activities I brought him to the rajyasabha to be punished."
This.....am I hearing this right. My brother who is only five was tied up and brought into this court for something like this.
When I looked around many of the ministers had an angry glare towards my brother,while the kuru family had troubled expression.

My eyes were stuck on Dansh and ears on his unpleasant voice and words.
When I tried to listen others my emotions felt like they were on turmoil.
"This child had the audacity to actually do this."
"That's why lowborns are such impure kind. They don't even know how to obey god's will."
"This child is no innocent kid. He's a demon who'll bring disaster to hastinapur."

Vidura spoke to silence the ministers.
"While the kid has broken the law, but he's still far too young to be punished-
Before vidura can even finish , dansh spoke.
"Do forgive me for interupting you but this child may have been forgiven by god if he only read a bit and among himself but he had the audacity to spread this knowledge to others of the lower caste. If we don't punish him today, others will follow his example and steal this knowledge from the upper caste. We cannot allow such a thing to happen."
