Teen pop music was playing in the background. 5 friends were have a "Girls Night Out" in a small barn. A storm was beginning to brew outside. The girls were laughing, drinking, and talking. Aria Montgomery, Emily Fields, Hanna Marin, Spencer Hastings, and Alison Dilaurentis were the best of friends. Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer were all sitting together having a good time. The music was playing loudly when suddenly the lights flickered and then they went completely off, the music going off with it. The girls looked up at the lights. "Whoa what happened?" one of them asked. "It must be the storm," another replied. Aria who had a flashlight in her hand turned it on. Just then they heard a noise. "Something's out there," whispered Aria. The large door of the barn creaked slowly open. "Guys..." Hanna said, shivering. They all got up and stayed together. Aria's flashlight was pointed straight at the door as it continued to creak open. Suddenly a large noise, like the crack of glass, came and they all screamed. They inched slowly toward the door altogether. They looked outside at the rustling leaves and the bitter storm. The wind raced. "Gotcha!" The door opened all the way to reveal Alison standing there in her light yellow top with a large smile on her face. All the girls screamed and ducked down at once. "That's so not funny Alison," said Spencer. The girls were regaining their breath and were now laughing as Alison walked into the barn. "Halarious," one of the girls said. "Thanks," said Alison, smiling. They all walked and sat down together in a circle. "Ali, did you download the new Beyonce song?" asked Hanna. "Ugh, not yet," said Alison. "I'm loving her new video," said Emliy, smiling. "Maybe a little too much, Em," said Alison. Aria looked over at Emily, as her smile faded slowly away. "Your turn," said Alison as she gave Aria a drink. All the girls watched her drink it, as they laughed. "Careful Aria, if you drink too much you'll want to tell us all your secrets," said Spencer as she laughed. The girls giggled. They were all a bit drunk. "Friends share secrets. That's what keeps us close," said Alison in a warm tone. All the girls smiled at each other. "Drink up," Alison ordered, and Aria continued to drink. The girls continued on giggling the night away.
In the morning...
The girls were all passed out on couches and chairs. It was still dark inside the barn and some candles were lit. Aria was the first to wake up. She looked around for Alison. She tapped everyone and they began to wake up. "Where's Ali and Spencer?" asked Hanna. "We don't know," said Aria. She got up and walked toward the wide open door of the barn. She saw someone walking toward them. "Ali?" "She's gone," said Spencer. "What do you mean she's gone?" "I've looked everywhere for her." The girls looked around in worry. "I think I heard a scream."
One year later...
Boxes were laid everywhere across the house, as Aria looked at herself in the mirror thinking how her life would be now that she was back in Rosewood. Aria and her family had been in Iceland for a year and had really bonded as a family. Aria hoped that the bond stayed and that everything went well now that they have returned.
"Aria? Are you okay?" her mom asked. Aria turned away from the mirror. "It's just werid to be home," she said as she looked around her empty bedroom.
"It's only been about a year. I know for 16 it's a long time."
"I still think about her," Aria said. She had been thinking about Alison a lot lately. It had been a year since she went missing but Aria still really missed her.
"Why don't you call your friends? They don't know we're back from Iceland." Aria's mom sat beside her on her bed.
"I don't know it's pretty werid. They're calling it the anniversary of Alison's disappearance. Like it's a party or something." Aria said in disgust.
Aria's mom sighed and said, "Why don't you give them a call." Aria wasn't so sure she should do it.
"You five are inceprable, and those feelings don't just go away."
