𝓐𝐔𝐑𝐎𝐑𝐀 𝓜𝐎𝐍𝐑𝐎𝐄 was the definition of a hopeless romantic. She loved being in love. She loved to go on dates, meaningful walks on the beach at night, and most of all she loved being treated like a princess. All of her past lovers worshipped the ground she walked on, as if she was a God, dressed in white lace. She could never ever see herself settling for anything less than that. Rory would always have someone by her side. The few years she spent being neglected. . . .left her feeling needy and desperate. She yearned for any kind of affection that she could receive from anyone worthy of her time.
If one of her boyfriends, or as she liked to call them hook-ups, made a mistake, she would switch them out like they had never existed. The sheer act of having feelings for someone was foreign to her. She had never really liked any of her flings. They were always just there to fill the void left inside her heart by her distant parents. Rory was always like that. She had been that way ever since stepping foot into high school.
The way she could easily switch through her boyfriends made others envious of her ability to seem so fulfilled with each new one. Then, were the people that made assumptions about her, forever branding her as the school's slut. Rory didn't exactly mind her reputation at first. That was until she started to be seen as easy, which in her case she was, but she didn't go for just anyone. She had at least a little bit of standards. Let's just say that her reputation didn't stick with her for too long.
Things changed that summer night. The blissful events left her wanting more. A night that was meant to be a rebellious night of fun, tainted her fantasy of a perfect love story forever. Who would've thought that Jeremiah Fisher, of all people, would break down her walls she had been building her entire life. If she had to take a guess, he would've been last on her list. In fact, she feared that he might've been karma for the way she treated boys all her life. Rory believed his purpose in her life was to teach her a valuable lesson on why people, and their hearts, shouldn't be played with like toys.
Rory thought she was going to have the perfect summer love. That's until Jeremiah Fisher came around, ruining her plans. He would be the one person she could not let go of so easily. She hated him for that.
