"Marinette!" A familiar voice called out. I felt the poking of tiny hands on my face. "W... What?" I yawned and opened my eyes, stretching as my groggy state induced. "It's time to go to school Marinette!" I suddenly jumped up, "AHHHH! I'm gonna be late! Hide Tikki." I grabbed my bag and rushed downstairs.

Before I left, my mom called out to me. "Marinette, aren't you forgetting something?" I looked down in shock and groaned. "I didn't change..." I dragged myself upstairs and quickly threw on my clothes. I put on my purse, put a few macarons inside, and dashed out the door. "Bye mom! Bye dad!" Before I knew it, I was on my way to school and trying my best not to think about this morning's mishap.

I swung the classroom door open as my name was called. "Present..." I sighed, out of breath. I sat in a seat next to my best friend Alya.

"Girl... you're always late." She whispered to me with a laugh. "Yeah..." I sighed, "good thing I have you to get here to in the mornings." I put my head on my desk and watched as the teacher, Miss. Bustier, gave a lecture about how plants grew and developed.

"Now students I must say before I forget that we will have a new student joining us tomorrow!" She clapped her hands together excitedly as the class cheered and whooped in happiness. "Alya there's gonna be a new student!" I said to her with a grin. "Yeah, let's hope she's not like Chloe over there..." Alya pointed and smiled back.

We got up and followed the class outside, it was lunchtime and we gathered with our friends.

"Hey guys!" Rose cheered, running over to greet us happily. "Hi Rose!" I smiled brightly; Rose was very literally the rose of our friend group. She always cheered everyone up and made the world shine brighter wherever she went. "Sooo... did anyone understand the lecture Miss Bustier gave like at all?" Alya remarked, typing quickly into her Ladyblog to upload a video she had told me about the previous day. It was about the 24th fight that Ladybug and Cat Noir had with Mr. Pigeon. "I mean, I got some of it but uh- ah not all of it." I took a bite out of the food. "I did I think..." Juleka mumbled under her breath.

"Really?! Can you send us your notes? Pretty please?" Alya and I begged. "Ok, ok..." Juleka had the faintest hint of a smile on her face as she picked up her phone and delivered the notes to us.

The lunch bell rang out suddenly and we all walked back to our classroom. The lecture continued after we all calmed down and as quickly as it started the bell rang out again. "That's weird, it's not time to go home yet..." I looked around the room and Miss Bustier instructed for us to go find a place safe to hide as there has been an akumatization. "A-Alya I'm gonna go hide in the bathrooms I'll meet up with you to help record soon uh... I'm uh scared!" I ran off to the lockers before Alya could question me.

"I guess it's time for this again. Tikki, spots on!" My earrings blinked and lit up as I transformed, feeling my clothes change to the signature ladybug suit in which I wore. I pulled out my yoyo and sent a message to Cat Noir. "Kitty, meet me up by the plaza, we got another villain to take care of." I jumped out of an open window and swung to the rendezvous point.

When I arrived Cat Noir had already beat me to it. "Hey Cat Noir, we have to figure out how to take care of this villain..." I looked around, thinking. "Buy me some time... Lucky Charm!" I called out.

"No problem, m'lady!" Cat Noir went out of sight to the villain. Out of the magical ladybugs came a helmet. "A helmet... what am I supposed to do with this." It suddenly came to me. "Of course!" Attaching the helmet to my side, I swung to Cat Noir's location. "The villain is a child!" I shouted among the fight.

"I knew that!" Cat Noir stated, jumping out of the way of the child's attacks. "I need you to break the child's bike, it's attached to his back!" I wrapped my yoyo around the villain's body, rendering it motionless. Just then, he pounced on the child's back and broke the bike. "Cataclysm!" The akuma came fluttering out and Cat Noir went to my side. "No more evildoing for you little akuma.. time to de-evilise!" I caught the moth in my yoyo and let it go. "Bye bye little butterfly. Miraculous ladybug!"

"Pound it." I smiled and fist bumped Cat Noir. As magical ladybugs fluttered around the city of Paris, repairing the damages I heard a familiar voice calling out. "Ladybug! Please a few questions!" I turned.

"Aly- I mean miss?" I flashed a warmhearted smile. "Ladybug please let me ask a few questions for my Ladyblog! It covers all things Ladybug related." Alya called out from behind the fences. Suddenly my and Cat Noir's miraculous' flashed and beeped. "Looks to me the cat's gonna come out of the bag if we don't scurry out soon m'lady!" He remarked as I quickly replied. "Uh oh! Got to go, maybe another time! Bug out." I swung myself away and parted ways from Cat Noir and Alya.

Entering the school from the way I escaped, I went out and back to the classroom.

"Marinette!" Mylène called from the back. "Mylène?!" I said happily as I jogged up to her. "I'm glad you're safe, where's everyone else?" I asked in confusion.

"I'm pretty sure everyone went home... I mean I heard an announcement, but I didn't hear what it said exactly." She said reassuringly. "Alright then, off we go!" I grabbed her wrist and lead us both out.

Heading home, I opened the door and greeted my parents. "We were so worried dear! We thought you got hurt by the supervillain earlier!" I hugged them both and smiled. "I'd try my best not to get hurt. I love you two!" I hugged them again and went up to my room, laying on my bed, and falling asleep.
