Suffocated.

Running through the streets of Los Angeles. Fresh air circulating in and out of my lungs, yet somehow I still feel suffocated.

Not in the way that I'm running as fast as I can and I'm having a hard time breathing. But in the way that everything I've never wanted is all piling up on me. Almost as if I'm in a pile of quicksand sinking further and further down. Except instead of sand piling up, it's simply anything and everything else.

I slow to a walk feeling as though I've made it far enough away for my liking. I eventually stop and hunch over with my hands on my knees, still holding my white strappy heels I ripped off my feet forever ago. Deep breaths Chan, you can do it. In and out, in and out.

As I stand back up I see a bright red LED sign that reads CHERRYBOMB with two little cherries next to it. Cherrybomb, cherrybomb, cherrybomb. I rack my brain as to why that sounds so familiar to me. Admitting defeat in realizing why it sounds familiar, I decide to cross the street and get myself a drink. Man could I use a drink.

Entering the bar I quickly come to the conclusion that I definitely have not been in here before. There's no way I could've forgotten this place.

Throughout the entire bar the only form of light comes from an array of string lights. They're a little bigger than a golfball size maybe, and running through every inch of this place. That being said, it's the perfect amount of light. Nothing too bright for a bar, but certainly not too dim either. It's beautiful. The main bar sits up ahead and to the right when you walk in. It's long and houses beautiful red velvet bar stools throughout. Behind the bar is one large mirror that covers the entire wall. In the back left corner sits a comfortably sized stage. Nothing too big and in your face, but also large enough to showcase the amazing music I'm sure occurs there. To the left of me sits some tables and chairs, no two alike.

This place is the perfect mix of class and spunk making it so that anyone can fit in. I think I'm falling in love. Wait a second, is this the place Niall kept asking me to come to?

After I got home from Sun K;ssed Island all Niall wanted to do was bring me to this new bar he and Lorelai had found. I never caught the name but he said the music was amazing and the vibe of the place was just so unique to a lot of other LA bars.

At first, all I wanted to do was go with him. However it soon became clear I didn't have much time to myself. Bennetts family, along with the Sun K;ssed execs, wanted to move things along fairly quickly. As soon as we got home it was wedding planning full speed ahead. Of course I still had time for Niall, I wouldn't be able to function without him, but any extra free time was pretty much cut out.

It was easier to see Lor and Ni for lunch or to grab a coffee rather than fully going out. Bennett was also always busy and he didn't really like me going out without him either, so daytime dates worked best for us. Even if he didn't mind me going alone, I barely have any time myself these days. And don't even suggest he come with me. Bennett wouldn't be caught dead here. He seemingly hates anything that has any sort of character to it. Shocking I know, you'd honestly never guess from his looks. If the place isn't crawling with a bunch of stuffy old white men, it's not really his scene. Could've fooled me... I mean I guess he did fool me.
