Orlando

Phil lent us his car for Orlando. We had opted for universal studio - Jungkook was highly opposed to Disneyland, but it was fine with me. We took the two hours drive with little conversation as possible as I was the one who had to navigate using the map as he drove. Phil did not have a GPS system in his car and none of us had thought of taking one with us.

The sun burned the back of my neck the entire time. I was feeling a lot better, but I felt like a trip to the amusement park was going to knock me out once more. I shouldn't use adrenaline as a sleeping method. I didn't think that was sustainable.

As we drove, I noticed how the crescent moon scar on my arm shimmered

"That's amusing," Jungkook said. "Is it also cold?"

"Yeah," I traced the scar. "It's... also pretty hard." Like a vampire.

"Some things can't be saved," Jungkook had his eyes out on the road. "I'm just glad that your leg and neck healed."

"Neck?" I widened my eyes. "What about my neck?"

"Urgh, I don't want to think about it," Jungkook shifted in his seat. "Seriously, it was gross. You had to drink blood -"

"what?" I exclaimed. That was news to me. He glanced over apologetically.

"There were so many weird things going on at once. Like, your body was already fighting of the venom - you're welcome by the way - but you were still suffering from it. So Tae gave you his blood so you wouldn't die from the venom but he said it was absolutely disgusting because he could still taste the tea in it. He had congestions for days."

"Sorry."

"For having terrible tasting blood when it apparently smells good?" Jungkook tilted his head. "I wouldn't be sorry about that."

"No, that you were disgusted by it."

"Oh, yeah. Thanks. It was terrible."

"And what happened with Edward? He brought me there but I don't know anything else."

Jungkook smirked. "Well, he left after I threatened him that he could never enter a house without permission. I haven't really seen him since. I ignore him at school and he hasn't been sitting with us since you were in the hospital because, you know, you're not there."

"Huh."

"Alice makes an effort, though," Jungkook noted. "She's been filling in your position at the yearbook club. She's very passionate about it."

I let Jungkook decide what we would do. He opted for all the adrenaline-seeking attractions, especially the one from the Mummy, which was deemed one of the scarier rides. I had watched enough horror movies with Jungkook to prepare myself, but it still sent a chill up my spine. I hoped I never had to deal with mummies. After practically hanging around re-animated corpses, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Egyptian curses were real.

I was not willing to find out.

There were many rides that I wished I didn't go on. It was only because of Jungkook that I did as I didn't want him to wait alone in line while I sat at some café or bench. He walked around like a little kid in the candy store going from one attraction to another.

The easiest of them all was winning a plushy. All of the other patrons were having trouble at the simplest game of throwing a ball into a bucket.

"Want to try?" the game man said.

"Which one do you want?" Jungkook asked. He eyed all of the plushies.

"I want the t-rex," I said after a short while. "What do you want?"
