Felix made sure his mom was asleep before he went and turned on his laptop.

Felix: I hate it when she does that, she's still the best though.
Lila: I sometimes feel grateful that my mom isn't usually home.

Amelie knows what's going on, she isn't stupid but she cannot bust her son red handed because he is so fast at covering up himself, but she still is silent because her son seems to be happy whenever he is playing chess with his friend.
Amelie is still wondering how did her son manage to make friends after all of this.

Felix: WHAT?!
Lila: HAHAHAHAH CHECKMATE,BOZO
Felix: NOO MY WINNING STEAK, I HATE YOU SO MUCH!!!
Lila: Haha!
Lila: I think you should tell your mother about me, As someone who got exposed to their lies before, it doesn't feel as good.

Amelie: Wake up, sweetheart!
Felix: *Yawn* 5 more minutes..!
Amelie POV: This just confirms it.
Amelie: I made your favorite tea!
Felix: *Gets up* I am awake!!

Amelie: So, who's your new friend?
Felix: I don't know what your talking about!
Amelie: The one your playing video games with, every night.
