ch.3— "danger magnet."

"Well, well. Who would've thought to show up at a place like this?"

You pursed your lips in distaste at the familiar sarcasm of a person speaking behind you. You crossed your arms and sighed, "Diluc,"

"Hello," The red haired man walked towards your side. He tilted his head with a small smile, "It looks to me like you're too caught up in your thoughts to even notice me? Your skills are getting rustier, [m/n]."

You laughed softly and looked up at the sky. "It's not much. Compared to me sitting here idly, you seem to be running up errands everywhere. How courageous, Spiffy. "

Diluc rolled his eyes at your teasing. "Stop calling me that in broad daylight you bolt." he knocked on your head. "You've been getting to lazy to even provoce me, hm?"

"I'm not, I'm not.." you eased him off. "It's just that your feats are too shiny to not notice. Even the Favonious knights are getting ansty at your movements,"

"Ugh, always ineficient, those knights." Diluc groaned and rolled his eyes. "Well, to answer your question; recently there's been a noticieable movement from that group. Althought few knights notice so, I would, because they're creating too much ruckuss by being to quiet."

"Hm. Seems to me like whatever they're planning from behind is too big and too dangerous that they have to be careful around others and chose to stay quite relatively low." you deducted.

"Good boy." Diluc smiled and nodded feeling a surge of pride hit his chest watching you follow his thoughts fast and alike. "You've always been a tolerant with how much thoughts you could put up to catch up with me."

"Oh you cocky little strawberry," you sneered.

"Hey. Don't call me that too!" His voice was stern. "Where on earth do you even come up with these nicknames...They sound so barbaric," he sighed dramatically that it made you roll your eyes in disgust.

"Back to the topic. Are your sure you're going in alone?" you asked Diluc.

Diluc said, "Hm. There's actually an interesting thing happening around. Did you know of this odd traveler wearing yellow, going around and helping up Jean?"

'Oh?' you rose a brow. 'It seems that Jean and Traveler are getting rather friendly if they've gone this far into taking matters in secrecy.' You blinked and shook your head.

"I have seen them, the traveler. From the looks of it, they're pretty tough. If Jean went as far as taking that traveler into her side, she's go something to know about this."

"This being...?"

You stared into the cloud and felt the wind brush up your face. You inhaled the scent of grass and hummed. "Only the winds see what humans cannot," you said.

Diluc clicked his tongue and shook his head. He had always understood your ways of riddling out answers, yet he could never grasp its real meaning. For now, he'd go with the flow and see what that traveler has got.

If you'd go as far as vouch for that traveler, then Diluc might just think this traveler's power was out of this world.

"Traveler, look! It's [m/n]!"

The traveler looked behind to see your silhouette waving for them. Paimon was happy, finally seeing a familiar face. She ushered the traveler towards you which they gladly complied.
