Being a first born in a family is a joy to everyone. Enthusiastic, overjoyed but slightly freaked out parents is a sight to watch. Nevertheless, they adjust to being responsible parents and even step by step start teaching their child to be responsible. Slowly, the child grows and then comes a day when he is given the news that he will have a younger brother. It is the same thing that happened in the Winchester household. The news of having a younger brother overjoyed Dean beyond extreme. After Sam is born, It would always be Dean to tend to his needs, well except breastfeeding, but you get the point. Holding his tiny plams, trying to fit it into his own hands, pulling his cheeks, trying to figure out the colour of his eyes, so fascinating to have a younger sibling. Not only loving Sammy, but Dean was completely devoted to his parents. Loving Mary like she was the only beutiful creation on this planet, seeing John as a life coach who would teach his son everything; this was what Dean did in his childhood. Whenever Mary was upset, Dean always thought why isn't it in my hands to make my mom happy?should I share my pie with her? Or whenever John would drink to his limits after Mary's death, Dean would feel like maybe he should have been God, then Mary would be alive and John would be a happy father, spoiling his sons with his love. But, atleast he had Sammy, his baby brother, with his longbrown hair and hazel eyes. Even he left Dean to pursue his Law career. Was Sam selfish? No, he just didn't get his brother at that time.

Ok, so first Mary then John, then Sammy, everyone left Dean, which scarred him for life, giving him extreme trust issues. Granted, Sam comes home to his older brother, his only family. But, the fears and insecurities have already made a home in Dean Winchester's heart. He literally went to hell for his Sammy, but still Sam had doubts whether he would do the same for him given the situation.

Time lapse, both the brothers are living in the bunker, fighting the monsters that haunt the dreams of common man. Dean, experiencing all the worst that a person could from his early childhood days, still has those hidden issues. He never in his wildest dreams thought that a person, well specifically an Angel of the Lord would actually stand by his side. He thought, what on earth did that angel see in me, why the hell does he believe in me so much when i have given up hopes. Why does he try to see good in me? Am I that special, if i were, why would god punish me and force upon me the all these responsibilities, jobs, when clearly, I am not capable of making decisions that would actually for once in my life not push me towards death.

Oh Boy, he never knew, that his fragile heart, even after being broken several times contains an ounce of love which he can give to someone other than his brother. Someone, so powerful, yet so caring and loving, someone who out of all the things loves bees and burgers, loves hanging out with humans, while himself being a celestial being. Whose priority is saving Dean and seeing to it that he is in one piece for most of the time.

Little did Dean know that inspite of everything being taken away from him, his family, his so called apple pie life with Lisa, he still has two people who love him with all their hearts. His brother who looks upto him, wants to be an ideal younger brother who laughs and enjoys each and every moment before some tragedy shows it's ugly face. An angel, Cas, who wishes each and every day that if the circumstances were different, would Dean like to spend time with him, would there be some sort of a non-fighting life where he and Dean would stay in a small house and they would make it a home by adopting cats, maybe even a kid. Would he get a chance to hold Dean in his arms and assure him that even if the whole world is against them , their love is enough to fight any damn thing.

It's ironic, how after all these years of fighting the evil together as a team, Dean still thinks he is not worth of all the trouble his brother and his angel go through for him. Maybe not today, but will Dean ever confess his fears and true feelings to his angel?

It's a normal day in the bunker, Dean has just out from his room after taking a shower, as usual Sam is researching and Cas, well he is searching for something in the kitchen like a lost puppy. At that moment, something strikes Dean like an epiphany. This domesticated lifestyle is what he desired from the beginning, his brother and his angel with him both figuratively and literally. This realisation makes Dean so happy and content that he just full on sprints towards Sammy in the library and gives him a big manly hug, and he is so happy, he can't describe it. Next, he gives a sign to Sammy to leave him alone with Cas, whereas Cas is clueless to what all the commotion is about. As soon as Sam leaves, Dean calms his nerves and walks slowly towards the kitchen, but Cas is already walking towards him, they both bump into each other and Cas just because there is no other thing nearby, holds Dean for support. Slowly, he regains himself, lately the only contact Dean has given him is a friendly pat on the back, but something is wrong, Dean is still, without any smartass comment about personal space, holding him by his arms. To figure this unusual behaviour, he looks up, trying to hide a very evident blush, but oh god, Dean is kissing him on his lips! Oh God! "What....Why did you do....that?" Cas asks while pulling himself away from Dean. This is not something that should be funny, but Dean is grinning in such a way that Cas could see the spark slowly returning in his eyes. He says "Well, angel boy, I decided to go for something that I wanted for so long" . With that, he opens his arms for Cas, gesturing him to come near and not be scared, Cas gives him his hand and they fall into an embrace, which is so full of love, that Dean is almost on the verge of tears. Cas' head is on Dean's chest listening to his heartbeat. Such a chick-flick moment, that Dean is going to make fun of it the next day, but right now this is what he wants and he is so content and for once in his life thankful to Chuck for giving him his Cas and Sammy.
